Jets - Giants (1 Viewer)

Jacobs back in the game (take him out TC)

Nicks running with the 1st team now caught his 1st target on a comback route

Next play Jacobs fumbles on a run play

That's why he's starting. Learning curve for sure, but Clemens does NOT make that throw.

EDIT: Off balance in the face of a pass rush, throws down field to Stuckey who manages his way into the end zone. Nice play.

Manning not looking good on that series. Had one thrown late and high that was almost picked, and then threw on at a receivers feet.

While the Giants will be a run first team, I watched this game thinking that Hixon will be the #1 WR in terms of numbers.

Both Smith and Hixon had key drops, but Eli was quick to target Hixon early and often.

Smith dropped a long ball that should have went for a 65 yd+ TD. Great ball by Eli.

Hixon missed a 5-10 yard curl that deflected off his pads and was picked off.

Interesting note: When Big Blue ran 3 WR sets early, it was Hixon, Smith and Manningham, NOT HICKS.

Hicks made a nice catch early in the 2nd, but the more I look at it, and consider what I have seen in camp, I think he'll have a normal WR rookie year, with some flashes of greatness, but lots of frustration.

I could see 75/1000/7 from Hixon this season.

Gilbride won't take part in a totally run offense. Even though that will be their strength with the line, and their RBs, I think they will throw enough to produce a 1000 yd WR, and I am leaning Hixon at the moment. This is not based solely on tonight, but on everything I have read in the local meadia through out camp.

Hixon did return a punt, which scares me. No need to have a WR1 retunrning kicks, even with his explosiveness.

Looks like Nicks might have shown some flashes tonight.

Wow, Nicks went off tonight. For those of you watching, how did he look? Just beating up on weaker competition?
Carr made a nice throw on the first one, and Nicks made a nice catch by going down in the back of the end zone, it was the nicer of the two.The second was more of a breakaway, and he showed some speed and got to the endzone. He looks good, but dropped a pass as well, and did most, if not all, of his damage against the lesser defense. I think Steve Smith and Hixon are the plays here, but maybe over the latter half of the season Nicks factors in more. I think he has good upside, just not sure how much this year.
