Jet's question for the homers (1 Viewer)

Can someone who has followed the Jets closely this year tell me about Justin Miller going forward. It seems as if his playing time has gone down a good bit in the past several weeks (i.e. only one solo tkl for the past two weeks) - what do you think I can expect of him going forward?

Our league gives:

1pt for solo

0.5 asst tkl

1pt pass def

2pt forced fumble, INT, fumble recov

BUT

it also gives 1pt for every 20yds return yds

I know Miller is a skilled returner, and those points will continue to come. However, is Miller a 1 tackle a game player or 4 tackles a game player with the potential to make a big play now and then?

Thanks for answering!

Miller started the season in a rotation with Dyson and Barrett. His playing time at CB went steadilly down, even when Barrett was gimpy. Eric Coleman was getting more snaps at CB, but he was the guy who was burnt on the long TD pass against the Bears this last game, and Dyson got dinged up. Miller was having trouble with being either smart enough, or not disciplined enough for Mangini's complicated coverage schemes.

If Dyson can't go this week, Miller may get more time at CB.... depends on how far into the doghouse Coleman goes this week. Miller even had trouble with coverages last year, so he just might be too.... well, not smart enough to understand NFL coverage schemes. I would at this point count on his return yardage, but not much else unles he gets a little smarter in coverage, which does not seem likely.

Thanks for the insight Rovers - I am afraid to drop Miller from my team for fear that his production will pick up - but I could definately stand the roster spot (I have my eye on A. Harris who is still on our WW this week)
