Fergeson looks OK. Like a rookie. Got pushed back into Ramsey once pretty bad.
It's been the Justin Miller show. He returned the opening kickoff 50+, and has been involved on most defensive plays.

That is Ian Eagle, who should stick to play by play in basketball, because he really has no freakin clue doing play by play in football. Ah.... you got the Washingotn feed.... we have Eagle and Buttle in NY. Eagle is an ###.nice reverse to Brad Smith for the TD. I love how Mike Patrick called it an end around and Riggins called it a double reverse

On almost every play, he says the ball carrier got "rocked", whether he did or didn't. I like Eagle.... but he says some REALLY stupid stuff..... last week when Buttle said he didn't like the new ref uni's, Eagle said "I don't remember anyone asking you." Buttle was po'd, and all he said was "We're off to a really good start here." I was surprised Buttle didn't knock him out. Eagle is the best, and I mean that, the best basketball play by play guy to come along in ten years.... but he sucks at football, period. I'm not watching to comment on his play calling but he's not an @On almost every play, he says the ball carrier got "rocked", whether he did or didn't. How can anyone hate Bollinger? the guy may not have that much talent, but look at that run for a first, making something out of nothing. And even after a cheap shot he gets up.... very refreshing.
The right side of the Jets O line continues to look pretty bad. Jones lost the start to Clement, and he's awful at RT too, and Moore looks like he's gone backwards at RG. Funny thing is Mangold and FUreguson have looked OK for the most part. Some rook mistakes, but they certainly look like keepers.
I guess Mangini doesn't like Houston as much as I do.... I dont think he's gotten a snap yet. Even Askew just got a carry. Blaylock is Blaylock... if there is a hole, he'll get some yardage. If there isn't he stands there waiting to get hit.
Baker is the clear cut starter at TE. Jets ST's look really, really good.

just get it right.... the Jets moved down 21 spots, got two sixth rounders, and traded a seventh. So, move down 21, lose a 7th, get Nugent, Houston and they traded the other sixth. They also got the guy they WOULD have taken in the first, Justin Miller. Jolley bashing? that's fine, so far he deserves it. But, that is easilly the mosyt misunderstood trade in NFL history... it wasn't Jolley for a first round pick straight up, but the Jet bashers keep calling it just that.Ok, so the Jets got Jolley and a 2nd rounder, happy? Just watched this game - rather uneventful except for a few plays.
NYJ:
Brad Smith is fast - nice reverse. Showed some talent / speed there.
Blaylock looks to be the #1 RB, and the line can block. More than one run he went about 5 yards before contact.
LWashington likely secured his spot on the team with his KR for a TD. Good speed.
Bollinger runs well for a QB, but not much more.
Vilma was pretty minimized by the scheme, not really WASH.
WASH:
Betts was the feature back tonight, and even the homers (Riggins) was questioning how well he'll be ready for Week 1. Again, the concern isn't the shoulder as of today, but a propensity for re-injury.
Sellers was given a few token carries.
ARE came to play tonight. Started, made some nice catches, and was excited to contribute.
Jason Campbell may have moved to #2 on the depth chart. He still looks unsure back there and makes bad decisions. His footwork is bad, he throws off the back foot too often. He also relies on his strong arm too much to make plays, which won't work on this level.
WASH D looks good (but it was the Jets, sorry). Marcus Washington looks to be a stud LB this year for them, and with Al Saunders' offense the Redskins could be a Top 5 defense this year.
