Jimmy Graham will only miss one week with a foot/ankle sprain. This is perfect for the #Saints, who have a bye in week seven anyway.
Zarelli @Zarelli 1h
@georgedarsaklis this is great news, but per whom? The Saints FO is always tight-lipped re injuries.
George Darsaklis @georgedarsaklis 1h
@Zarelli So wasn't serious enough for him to miss the rest of the game. Usually a week for these injuries I'd be surprised if he misses W7.
Zarelli @Zarelli 1h
@georgedarsaklis also, when the cameras got close to him as he walked away, he brushed them aside. Not a good sign. Hope I'm wrong.
George Darsaklis @georgedarsaklis 1h
@Zarelli Haha, he should be good. He's the best TE in football right now, we need him in!
In other words, George has no clue and is just guessing.

Was a misprint. Was supposed to say knee. Jene Bramel tweeted that the mechanism didn't look like anything related to a Lis Franc. Not that he can say for sure obviously but it's something for worried Graham owners to hang their hats on for now.A league source tells Profootballtalk.com Jimmy Graham is undergoing a Monday MRI on his knee.
UPDATE 1:50 p.m. ET: A prior version of this story indicated that Graham’s injury was to his knee. It’s a foot injury.A league source tells Profootballtalk.com Jimmy Graham is undergoing a Monday MRI on his knee.
Graham injured it initially on the jump on the overthrow pick that Brees threw near the end. He hobbled off on one leg after that play. Very concerned that he couldn't finish despite his desire to do so.Was a misprint. Was supposed to say knee. Jene Bramel tweeted that the mechanism didn't look like anything related to a Lis Franc. Another league I am in the Graham owner also has Thomas. Decent chance many of the Graham owners are backing him up with Jordan Cameron/Julius Thomas or even a Charles Clay and may not be in as bad of shape as it would seem.
My CSB: It's funny because I've owned JT, JC, and now Graham this season. Drafted Cameron, bid on JT and got him after week 1, but traded JC away for Gio Bernard after week 2. Then, last week I packaged JT and a running back for Graham and DT. Bottom line, I should have stayed put when both JT and JC were on my roster. I now have Charles Clay as a backup, fwiw. Hope the injury isn't serious enough to keep Graham out too long.Dynasty league - Graham owner has Housler/ FauriaSweet Love said:Interesting to see what Graham owners in general have to trot out there...for example, in the one league I have him, I have Julius Thomas as his backup. Wouldn't it be better to own him and have a chance at his continued elite production than to not own him and have no chance at all?Glad I don't own him. Oof
If you read the whole thread you would realize it is his foot.knee injuries can be serious.
Sure, if I knew he would be back soon.Wouldn't it be better to own him and have a chance at his continued elite production than to not own him and have no chance at all?Glad I don't own him. Oof
Like any real FBG I backed him up with Gronk, figuring its likely that Gronk would be back by the week 7 bye.Of course, knowing Gronk has issues, I also have Cameron and just in case, J Thomas.Hey can everyone list their backup TE in here?
I think I just filled the cup@mortreport: Saints TE Jimmy Graham is still having left foot evaluated but sense of optimism he will return after this week's bye.
I refuse to believe after that Schefter, "Cobb only out 2 weeks" tweet@mortreport: Saints TE Jimmy Graham is still having left foot evaluated but sense of optimism he will return after this week's bye.
So I guess that means the knee is going to be okay as well?@mortreport: Saints TE Jimmy Graham is still having left foot evaluated but sense of optimism he will return after this week's bye.
Sounds like a potential Lisfranc injury. There goes the Saints season if that's true.
About the only thing that's worked this year, so, yeah, I expect we'll see a lot more of this, though I could also see a bit more of the double LB mash at the line as well. When he gets back (hopefully soon), does every defense going forward take a cue from the Pats' playbook, and put their best cover corner on him? Talib completely shut him down. In fairness, there are only a few corners playing on Talib's level right now, but I'm wondering if defenses will give it a shot anyway.
Well if they amputate the foot, I'm guessing that will impact the knee. But I'm no doctor. So I guess that means the knee is going to be okay as well?@mortreport: Saints TE Jimmy Graham is still having left foot evaluated but sense of optimism he will return after this week's bye.
