Relax - That is the ultimate doomsday situation...i remember when pierre thomas was a week away from playing for like 10 weeks, then ired at the end of the season.
Yeah but ...This was in response to "Bump Watson ... He looked pretty good against NE."Peter Lemonjello said:True, but they haven't faced an offense / TE combo like the Saints & Graham.Very bad matchup ...Buf gives up the 3rd fewest points to TEs
I'm offering him for Gronk in a few leagues and packaging trades to acquire Reed but nobody is biting. I keep getting the "I really want to see one more week of Reed" to which I want to respond "and if he has a bad week you get a worse offer and your team is 1-6."Anyone trying to sell now? I hate having to roster two TE's.
Colston.If he is out, who benefits from this? Stills? Watson?
Wouldn't that be funny if Colston actually lined up at TE, given the history of his Yahoo! eligibility there.Colston.If he is out, who benefits from this? Stills? Watson?
I mentioned this in the Lance Moore thread, but I'm not so sure that Watson's primary role will be to attempt to pick up most of Graham's slack.I picked up Watson. He's not great but his role is to catch the ball.
@JeneBramel24m
Lots of diagnostic possibilities w/ Graham. Multiple ATCs told me they felt re-taping aft inj looked like plantar fascia concern.
@JeneBramel24m
I was adamant last year that Graham's ankle injury was being undersold during bye week. Ending up missing three weeks, limited longer.

Did the same but lost V Davis instead....I traded for this guy the week of the NE game, what a bust! Lost Julius Thomas in the process - FML. Guess we'll be rolling with the backup or some other WW garbage TE for now. Perfect.
I don't know if this person is trustworthy though - not sure who the "sources" are either.@georgedarsaklis 8m
Sources suggest Jimmy Graham will start, however IF he can't suit up (20% chance), Ben Watson will take his place.
That's the problem with social media/Twitter. Every knucklehead out there is a "source".I don't know if this person is trustworthy though - not sure who the "sources" are either.@georgedarsaklis 8m

Jeff Duncan or Larry Holder, but you can't trust them or the others on this kind of thing any more than you can throw `em. A guy named Wilkerson who did daily reporting for a local radio station accurately reported on Brees having an MCL problem in 2010 and basically had his career as a Saints beat guy destroyed. - Zach Strief was walking around in a bandage boot 2 weeks ago in plain view of the reporting pool and it did not even get mentioned he might be out until a couple hours before game time when he was listed inactive.anyone know the best saints beat writer to follow on twitter?
http://www.rotoworld.com/player/nfl/5842/jimmy-grahamESPN Saints blogger Mike Triplett "wouldn't be surprised at all" if Jimmy Graham (foot) was "out or limited" for Week 8 against Buffalo.
Triplett considers Graham "highly questionable," naming Pierre Thomas, Darren Sproles, and Marques Colston as the favorites to pick up the slack if Graham isn't himself or doesn't dress. Triplett believes the Saints are capable of scoring 30 points even without Graham. It's possible 5-1 New Orleans will hold Graham out of this winnable home game against the Bills, and target Week 9 at the Jets to bring back its best offensive weapon.
Yeah, but most redraft leagues usually have about 6 bench spots. Hard to roster 3 TE's if your league only starts 1, unless you're suggesting to start Watson this week. In a league with deeper benches, yeah I agree. Stash Watson in case he plays well.If you have a spare roster spot and anything less than a top 5ish TE, I don't see how you don't grab Watson as a wait and see. Last I checked this will be the first stretch where he is Drew Brees' starting TE, if Graham misses games. Yes, plural, games. NOBODY outside of the Saints building has any clue how serious this Graham injury really is. And as long as he's out, Watson is a fairly decent speculative play with pretty major upside if Brees forms a connex with him.
If and only if, you know Graham is out, then yes.would you take watson over other FA guys like J. Cook, S. Chandler, Eifert, Fauria, Z. Miller, etc?
The answer obviously depends on Graham's status and effectiveness. But let's assume he is OUT. What does that make Watson?Where does Watson rank with the top 15? Virtually every site right now still has Graham as either 1 or 2 with the questionable tag.
Thing you have to ask yourself: Do you trust Ponder, Clemons (splitting targets with Kendricks), or Palmer more than you trust Brees. And to be fair, consider Watson perhaps 5th or 6th offensive weapon.Rudolph Watson Cook Housler are my choices
With Bradford out Watson is a clear pick there. Otherwise Cook is in the mix.Rudolph Watson Cook Housler are my choices
