I am amazed the Yanks are still competitive. Lost #1 pitcher for the year. Lost arguably best hitter in baseball for extended time. Lost leadoff hitter for extended time. Lost #5 hitter for the year, lost one of the best hitting catchers for the year, now losing their young ace for some period of time, and the Yanks are still one hot streak from the playoffs.

I think Girardi's been doing a heck of a job through smoke and mirrors.

Posada had "tendonitis" too, there are many varying levels of tendonitis - if it warrants a DL stint and is coupled with a visit to Dr. Doom I'd still be concerned.
