Joe Flacco - Why no love? (1 Viewer)

I was buzzing through stats in my dynasty league and was surprised to see that Flacco is only five points behind Matt Ryan so far this season.

As real NFL QBs go, Ryan clearly has a headstart. However, from a fantasy perspecitve, Flacco is right there.

Is it because of who he plays for? Just curious why the guy is not getting more love. I'd guess Ryan's value is much, much higher than Flacco's right now, but the numbers seem to have them fairly equal.

If I had to guess, it comes down to Flacco's rushing & receiving stats making him look closer in comparison to Ryan.

Flacco rushing & receiving totals = 128 yards & 2 TD's.

Ryan rushing & receiving totals = 54 yards & 0 TD's.

When you figure that's an 18 point difference, added to the 5 you mentioned, unless you think Flacco will break off another 39 yard TD run or 43 yard reception...the production similarities begin to end.

I have started Flacco 8 of 10 weeks this year. That is what happens when you own him and McNabb in one league and him and Hasselbeck in another. Yuck.

I think that since Flacco lacks a stud WR, despite Mason putting up solid points, he isn't getting the love. Plus, Atlanta was expected to be HORRID this year while Baltimore has maintained a strong defense, as we all know, for some time.

You really thought Flacco was a better start than McNabb most of the time?

I don't understand at all why Flacco is always ranked where he's ranked in the FBG's weekly cheats. In a 2 QB league the guy has been a solid contributor for a while now. Undeserving of his weekly scorn IMO.

Good point...Flacco and Thigpen both.Look at the points...consistent performers, been like top 5 QBs for about the last month.People believe in Orton, but not these guys? I finally picked up Thigpen as my #2QB in one league...guess b/c I like his targets in Bowe, Bradley!!, and Gonzo.

So we have to discount it now? Ryan doesn't get rushing TDs. Flacco does. You can't say well you can't count the rushing TD when comparing.
