I'm actively shopping him while I can still possibly get something of any value based off his name in my league.
There are at least 3 guys on the WW this week that are doing, basically, equal or better than Horn has to date and have more favorable schedules going forward. I'm hoping the rest of my league hasn't noticed it yet.
I like Joe, and I think he's got some football left in him, but in that new offense that they're running in Nawlins what he typically brought(deep stuff) isn't being utilized overmuch. Brees seems to look for Colston in the red zone a ton, so far, and as mentioned Bush is getting a bunch of the short stuff soooooo......Joe's value has been pretty much obliterated in my mind. He'll probably still have a couple "big" weeks, but not much else.
I was thinking more how Colston was affecting Horn, but Bush does seem to have a bigger impact.
YTD Targets for Bush (42), Colston (38), and Horn (32)
That makes me believe there is no way Horn will be consistently productive again. I haven't looked at historical data, but I have to imagine Horn was getting 10 targets a game in his heyday.
He was targeted all the time by Brooks like radar. Problem is, Brooks isn't there anymore, they have two very bona fide passing options in Bush/Colston, and age has likely caught up to the old warrior.
