Murph giving Minnesota AD is nice - I keep thinking Gaines Adams is going to go 5 or 6, and that the Minny front office won't have the will to take LaRon Landry or Patrick Willis. The most likely candidates I see are Quinn or Peterson. Maybe this just means a trade down is inevitable.
I really liked the explosiveness of Calvin Johnson. I'm thrilled to have 1.02. Also it added to my belief that this WR crop could be the best in the last 10 years especially with so many teams having the need for one.
I agree, and its not just because of the excellent top 6. The 2nd tier is fat with reliable and surprisingly athletic WRs like Steve Smith, Anthony Gonzalez, and Jason Hill. The 3rd tier is fat with excellent small school studs (Jacoby Jones, Laurent Robinson among others), and some very solid WRs from bigger schools and some interesting boom/bust guys. Only 30-35 WRs will get drafted at the most, but I see more than that with draftable grades. I wouldn't surprised to see another Colston (as in a late pick that contributes a lot immediately) come out of this class, the depth is that impressive.
