Unless your league penalizes for getting hit, or you are predicting that he'll get knocked out of the game early, this is irrelevant. Answer the question that was asked.I do not mean to be trite, but I expect Kitna to get hit A LOT because martz does not protect his QBs
Unless anyone asked (they didn't), this is irrelevant.I'm in a 2 start QB league. I have Vick, Kitna, and Simms. I'll be playing Kitna and Simms this week. Not starting Vick only because he plays against the Carolina D.
Thanks Mr. I point out what is and isnt relevantUnless your league penalizes for getting hit, or you are predicting that he'll get knocked out of the game early, this is irrelevant. Not starting Vick only because he plays against the Carolina D.I can't picture Detroit NOT playing catch up and throwing a lot late. Also remember that Martz's show was always better on turf. I'm thinking 225 or so, 1.5 TD, 1.2 INT.

I would prob start Vick over Kitna ......I'm in a 2 start QB league. I have Vick, Kitna, and Simms. I'll be playing Kitna and Simms this week. Not starting Vick only because he plays against the Carolina D.What do others expect from Kitna this week? I think 2 TDs is a bit optimistic...
Really?? Vick is playing against the Car defense, and he was terrible against them last season (0 TD, 2 INT, and almost 0 rushing yards, and like 140 passing yards). Please PM me why you think I should start Vick over Kitna in week 1 (I dont want anyone saying its not relevant in here)...I would prob start Vick over Kitna ......I'm in a 2 start QB league. Ask him what half of a TD is. I'm afraid to.Unless your league penalizes for getting hit, or you are predicting that he'll get knocked out of the game early, this is irrelevant. Get a load of this guy.
You're right, the OL does.....or TRIES I should say!!!!I do not mean to be trite, but I expect Kitna to get hit A LOT because martz does not protect his QBs
You can't post unless you answer the question? I like other points of view myself.I didn't answer it either.Unless your league penalizes for getting hit, or you are predicting that he'll get knocked out of the game early, this is irrelevant. I tend to disagree. yeah, they're not Holt, Bruce, etc..., but Bradford has had a great pre-season and I can easily see Drummond getting into the mix ala Az-Zahir Hakim. We're talking about Martz here man... The only problem I see here is keeping Kitna upright.Kitna is real tough to judge in week 1. Besides Williams the Lions don't really have much. Corey Bradford, Mike Williams, and Pollard don't sound like world beaters. Jones is still learning how to catch out of the backfield. The Lions should be playing catch up but I think the Seahawks will control the clock in this game. I could see Kitna going for 225 1 td and 2 ints. I am trying to figure out whether I start Brooks or Kitna. They are essentially in the same position. New offense, new team, 1 good wr. I am leaning towards Brooks because he plays against a worse defense and under the Monday night lights.
Moss does tend to blow up on Monday night. I'd go with Brooks.jurrassic said:So you think Kitna will post better numbers than Brooks?
I don't know about this. Sometimes the best D is a good O, and Seattle had one of the best O's last year. Considering Alexander posted record-breaking numbers last season, it's easy to predict he won't be quite as dominant. If the run game isn't as dominant and the O isn't always on the field, is the D really spectacular?I wouldn't fear Seattle's D. I was actually thinking this game would be a shootout.Kitna is gonna go for 275 - 2 TD - 2 INT.This_Is_Not_VRR said:Seattle's defense was terrible up until last year. They have a legit top 5 defense now. Kitna is in way over his head.
This worries me the most. IIRC, Seattle's actual pass defense didn't rank that well last season, but they got a ton of sacks (led the league?). Kitna better be getting rid of the ball quickly or he's going to be staring at the ceiling a lot.I do not mean to be trite, but I expect Kitna to get hit A LOT because martz does not protect his QBs
Simm's ain't a lock to light it up either against Baltimore. Given the matchups, I'd definitely be starting Vick; my choice would be between the other two.I would prob start Vick over Kitna ......I'm in a 2 start QB league. I have Vick, Kitna, and Simms. 21/37 229/0/0 nailed the comp/att and yardage, but way off on the TDs.ok, back to the topic. Kitna goes off on Seattle again, went 18/30 226/2/0 in 2003. revenge factor is always good for a big day AND Martz usually had big days against Seattle when he was with Stl.21/35 240/2/1disclaimer: I don't own Kitna
