Jon Stinchcomb (2 Viewers)

He was dominant on Sunday. Mathis had zero tackles, never heard his name mentioned once. When I watched again, he was destroying people in the run game, even on the two failed goal line plays.

Just want to give kudos to an unsung offensive lineman who Saints fans called a bust for a few seasons.

Funny thing is, he's still the worst of the starting five. Which is more of a reflection on how good the other guys are than a knock on #78.
1)Evans2)Nicks3)Stinchcomb4)Goodwin5)BushrodThe incredible thing is that this leaves out former all-pro Jammal Brown, and a great back-up/often used as TE Zach Streif.

I think Goodwin and Bushrod are better at their respective positions than Stinchcomb is at his. I'm especially impressed with Goodwin who has come a long way and is probably now one of the 10 or so best centers in the league. This is splitting hairs though and just my opinion.

Haslett made that so; he would not allow Stinchcomb on the field. He was almost given up as a never-was. Another guy Sean Payton turned into a top-flight player after he had been left on the scrap heap (in this case his own team's heap).

Payton has done a good job of developing talent. Stinchcomb definitely has improved and so has WR Henderson among others.

Yup ... the Saints missed Goodwin badly against Dallas (was hurt in the first half)....

SaintsInDome2006 is right about Haslett sinking Stinchcomb's early career. Why draft the guy, keep him on the roster, and then let him rot?

Yea Im pretty surprised there hasn't been more talk about Devery. He's a completely different receiver now, he has really evolved his game especially in this last season
