THE NEWS

Rookie Jonathan Stewart exited the game against Minnesota during the third quarter with an undisclosed injury.

Our View

Stewart was injured at the end of a long kickoff return. It initally looked like he had the wind knocked out of him, but he hasn't returned to the game. No further information is currently available

I didn't see the game, did anyone else? I can't find info on it anywhere.

WTF is he doing returning kicks anyway. He should've started against the Vikes. D-Willy can't run inside on those guys.

I think after the injury he got a few carries but didn't want to throw him to the Wolves with the Vikes on fire.

No RB's can run inside on the Vikes. Stewart is talented but has pass block issues and has a history of injuries.

I saw the injury on the kick return. It looked like the wind was knocked out of him and he was on the ground for a while. That being said Im almost positive he came back into the game later. And to the guy who said Stewart shouldve started, didnt DeAngelo have a better game?

Yes he came back into the game. The Panther’s play calling is horrible. The OC is not very creative; if Stewart was in the game everyone knew it was a run. This is a game they should have won. They abandoned the run and they are a running team. Early in the game the Viking didn’t have much success with running the ball but the realized that in the 2nd half and made changes.

A little bit better but this coaching staff is pretty dumb. You don't waste time trying to run on Minnesota. You beat them through the air. Fox is too stupid to figure that out though.

From the FBG early injury report e-mail:

RB Jonathan Stewart - CAR - Stewart missed some time during the game on Sunday after getting the wind knocked out of him on a kickoff return.

He's fine.
