I feel like with all the stuff going on in the world today we need a feel good story. This one illustrates the American Dream about as well as you possibly can IMO. I first learned about Jonny Kim via Jocko's podcast #221. He served with distinction on Seal Team 3 deploying twice as a combat medic, sniper, navigator and point man. He then went on to graduate summa cum laude with a degree in mathematics in 2012 from the University of San Diego and from there, a Doctor of Medicine from Harvard Medical School in 2016. In 2017 he was chosen to be part of Nasa Astronaut Group 22. Today, April 8th, he flew to the International Space Station where he will be until December 9th.
