Jordan Dizon (1 Viewer)

(Rotoworld) Lions rookie Jordon Dizon is expected to stay at middle linebacker this year.Impact: Paris Lenon appears ticketed for the strong side. We've got a ways to go, but Dizon is looking like a nice IDP sleeper in the middle of Detroit's Cover 2.

He can be listed as a sleeper only in Rotoworld's eyes. The kid wasn't taken on day one of the draft for nothing, and should range between the 1st & 5th LB taken in most rookie drafts.

I took a look at these rotoworld defensive rookie rankings and have decided that nobody should EVER use Rotoworld for defensive help EVER again. What garbage.

:lmao: I can't believe they have Gholston ahead of Dizon.

They are dynasty rankings - if you legitimately think Gholston will be Ware/Merriman-esque in NYJ, and you don't buy into a Tampa 2 MLB or just don't like Dizon, I think you can make the argument Gholston could be a better player.

Don't like seeing Dorsey at #3 at DL though. Dynasty is very subjective though - it's about where you see long-term value. If you think a guy stinks, you can drop him.

Well...

Merling over Groves?

No Curtis Lofton?

Gholston "relatively" low?

DeCoud over Phillips?

McKelvin over Talib and Flowers?

I'll assume that these are for 2008 finish only. If these are dynasty rankings, there's a lot more to question.

We'll see. At least they're putting out some IDP-specific content; all are welcome to join the revolution. :sadbanana:

That was the one that set off alarm bells with me. Maybe Dr Bramel can give them a hand a'la Fear & Lothing.Actually, scratch that. If the uneducated masses aren't smart enough to find FBG's, they don't deserve the stuff we get from Jene/Sig/Borbely/Aaron/Chaos Commish etc.

I was a fairly regular emailer to Rotoworld (and elsewhere) before joining the FBG staff making suggestions to improve their IDP content. Since I'm no longer a free agent, I've stopped bothering the competition and efforted to harass the crowd here by flooding this Forum with my love of all things defense. Still, these rankings aside, it would not at all surprise me to find that there are some Rotoworld guys in our midst. There's been quite a few blurbs that have a little FBG flavor to them. Someone posted a Rotoworld blurb recently that looked a lot like something Sig wrote for NFLDG. We're not doing anything groundbreaking and I'm certainly not making any accusations, but I do think there's both an art and an understanding of how to interpret statistical trends that's necessary to do the IDP thing well. Any vet IDP owner knows that. I think our staff does a pretty good job of that. Some of them have been doing it for a long time ( :hey: Norton).

Educating the masses about the :yucky: of team defenses by making IDPs more accessible is always a :) for me.

For what it's worth, Lofton is now LB3 on that list. Not sure if they added this recently or if someone e-mailed about the oversight, but...

He was the #1 IDP on my board. I didn't do as much work with IDP's this year as I usually do, knowing I was not likley drafting any defense in my dyansty draft ... how boring

Productive with great intangibles ... wasn't concerened about his size ... should start from day one.
