Anyone have any more info on this? I just read that he experienced some hamstring tightness, so they pulled him from practice early. Anything to worry about?

I'm on notice now!

The new additions to the injury report were: fullback John Kuhn (hamstring), receivers Jordy Nelson (hamstring) and Donald Driver (neck), guard T.J. Lang (elbow/wrist) and center Jeff Saturday (neck).Saturday said he sustained a stinger against the Rams. Lang said he has battled elbow soreness throughout the season, and it flared this week. Driver, who would play in his 200th game Sunday, said he woke up with neck stiffness. Kuhn sustained a hamstring injury late in the game against the Rams. Nelson’s hamstring tightened up during practice.McCarthy didn’t think any of those players, who were limited participants in practice, were in jeopardy of missing Sunday’s game.
From Green Bay Press Gazette.Packers cut practice short today because of so many injuries. Will do so again tomorrow. Packers are being cautious.

Per Roto... Jordy Nelson downgraded to missed practice

Jordy Nelson was held out of Thursday's practice after his hamstring "tightened up" on Wednesday.

There's no word yet from the beat writers or head coach Mike McCarthy. It's quite possible that Nelson is simply being afforded extra rest to make sure he's ready to go on Sunday. Check back later in the afternoon for an update on Nelson's status.

This would make sense. Hopefully it's the case...

Jordy Nelson will be held out of practice again on Friday, and won't test his hamstring until Saturday or Sunday.

Looks like another big target day coming for Randall Cobb and James Jones

Rob Demovsky ‏@RobDemovskyJordy Nelson's hamstring injury sounds a little worse than first thought. Won't practice tomorrow, might test Sat or Sun.

(RotoWire) Nelson (hamstring) will not practice Friday, Milwaukee Journal Sentinel writer Tom Silverstein reports. Analysis: The report notes that Nelson "may test" his hamstring out Saturday or Sunday, but this concerning nugget suggests that the wideout could miss Sunday's game against the Jaguars. If he does, then James Jones and Randall Cobb could be busy (and Donald Driver dusted off) this weekend.
Won't practice tomorrow either.

Great. I'm actually more concerned for the rest of the season than this week. Does he have any history of hamstring issues?

if you were the Packers coach, would you really push him to play against the Jags? probably give him the week off, right?
Coaches dont think like that, this is the NFL, if Nelson is ready to play he will play.
If Jordy is a GTD, Jennings is having surgery, Finley has the banged up foot, you're down to Cobb, Jones, and...old man Driver.Thinking Jordy is playing. Wishing and hoping, but also thinking.

at home vs. JAX and ARI, I can totally see resting him until the Bye... not what i want since i have him in a few leagues but long term health more important (especially after Jennings came back too early)

:goodposting: The Packers lost to the Colts just three weeks ago, and are in third place in their division right now. I don't think they are taking any team lightly.
This. The more I think about it, the more I'm thinking that they are giving him as much rest as needed to be ready to play. The Packers don't have any wins to spare in that division. With the way Jordy has been getting tons of looks and making big plays in the absence of some of their star players, I think they want to make sure he's ready to go come game time. I don't think they can afford to lose him at this point. But this is just my opinion.

If he's not 100%, I can see Jones, Cobb, and even Finley getting most of the targets while Jordy draws coverage away from them.

Do we think driver has any value here if Jordy is a scratch? I'm dealing with super thin wire, the likes of Driver, Shorts and Stokely staring me in the face. :yucky:

What positIon would driver take? Would he assume Nelson role with Jones on outside and Cobb in slot? If so I might take that for bye week flier.

Thinking the same on Driver. Packers run a ton of 3 WR sets, and that'll be all the have. I picked him up yesterday and will play him if Jordy gets scratched, and over other options of Devery Henderson and Santana Moss.

Might do the same just to be preemptively safe.

Just traded Sproles/Jordy for Lynch/Roddy. Had been targetting a Jordy for Calvin deal over the last few weeks, so this injury scare just pushed me a little more. My Calvin deal fell apart, but another owner jumped in with a deal for Jordy. Jordy/Roddy is a wash at worst when healthy, so I was all over this thing.

I don't have any bench WRs due to byes, and not really sure what's on the wire is any better than 37 year old, taken 67 snaps all year Donald Driver. It's either him or Broyles/Young, Heyward-Bey, or McCluster.

:yucky: :yucky:

FWIW, pretty sure Driver missed practice this week as well (Wednesday for sure). With practice being cut short all week because of lack of healthy bodies, I can't imagine the Packers are going to shake things up much in the game plan. Since Cobb & Jones have seen increased roles with Jennings out, shouldn't we expect that to continue this week as well? Or will Rodgers and Driver be like old dance partners reunited?

I don't know...but I sure would like to find out if his hammy looks good before I go to church here :)

Adam Schefter ‏@AdamSchefter

Packers WR Jordy Nelson plans to test hamstring in pregame warmups before making final decision, but he is unlikely to play today vs. Jags.

Here's a little additional info:

SPN's Adam Schefter reports that Jordy Nelson (hamstring, questionable) plans to go through pre-game warm-ups but is unlikely to play on Sunday against the Jaguars.

Nelson's hamstring tightened up in Wednesday's practice and that forced him to miss both of Thursday and Friday's sessions. Head coach Mike McCarthy is holding out hope, but after Greg Jennings returned too early with a groin issue and will now struggle to make it back this season, Green Bay could be extra cautious with Nelson. The fact that the Packers are playing the lowly Jaguars could also be a factor. Randall Cobb and James Jones should be locked into fantasy lineups. Check back in an hour or so for a final verdict.

It does seem unlikely he goes. Then again, there is a near 100% chance that is an opinion. Earlier this year he proclaimed Gates good to go mid-morning. Antonio was declared inactive @ 3 p.m. and his backup caught 3 TDs.

For once, this comment is valid. Bump Finley.

I think that with Jones, Cobb, Boykin, and Driver being the only receivers active, Finley will have to be involved me today.

Hmmm, was thinking the same thing. My TEs in one league are a hodge podge of mediocrity (Cook, Fasano and now Paulsen) and without Nelson, I am thinking that Finley could be a decent play without Nelson.

I think Finley is still limited by his shoulder injury.

I agree with this but I had to drop Finley just to get another WR (St. Johnson and Torrey on bye) so... go-go Donnie Avery!

So is anyone considering Driver? Debated grabbing him but opted for Stokely vs NO. Just tough to throw in an older guy who has done nothing all year. I'm sure he'll blow up with on last hurrah though haha

Definitely considered it, but he was limited in practice this week as well. Went with Stephen Hill as he had a good WK 1 against the Dolphins and one of their CBs is inactive.

Gonna be a problem all season. This is one of those that needs a month off to fully heal.
What was nature of it? Sounded like practice tweak.
He's completely guessing, plus he's a Jordy hater. Evidence:
droppable in most formats. Too many other guys who catch the ball. Lot of sets being run with Cobb/Jennings/Jones
Sell him for anything you can get. He won't crack 800/5 this year.
The writing is on the wall here... Jordy Nelson is a bye week fill in, nothing more.
Remember when Jordy Nelson was relevant? That was a fun 10 weeks.

missed practice again today. The GB OFF looked bad last week and I don't hold out much hope this week. After the Bye, they should be back to their old selves... but three weeks without Jordy does kind of suck
