According to CBS:

News: Colts RB Joseph Addai popped up on the injury report on Thursday with a hand injury and was limited in practice. He is considered questionable for the team's Week 5 contest at Tennessee.

Would Brown be a viable spot starter against the Titans?

Brown has been a viable spot starter since the 1st game of the year.

This is not the game for a Colt RB.
And thats because of your fear of an 0-4 team that is beginning to show its desperation? First of all, its a pretty big bye week with LT, Pierre, Forte, and Grant unavailable. That means there are lots of squirrelly flex decisions that will need to be made. The Indy RBs are nothing to sneeze at, especially in PPR leagues, since they are very involved in the leagues best passing attack (apologies to N.O.). Here's how FBGs described this weeks matchup"However, this won't matter too much to the Colts who throw the ball at will against most opponents and will include Addai and Brown in their aerial plans. Neither has as a real chance at a dominant performance, but they should get some red zone opportunities as well as targets for a big play as receivers. Both are flex plays for these reasons. "Base projections for the gameAddai - 14 carries for 40yds, 3 catches for 22 yardsBrown - 9 carries for 31 yards, 2 catches for 14 yardsIf Addai is out, its not inconceivable that Brown would get all 23 carries (I mean, is there even a plan C?? Chad Simpson?)which would give him 107 combined yards and 5 catches for PPR leagues. Throw in the odd TD since Peyton likes to go to a back in the red zone and Brown has already shown he has the strenth and wiggle to score in short yardage and you have a pretty fair flex starter.I really don't believe that Addai will sit out this Sunday, but if he does, Brown looks like a very tasty start.

Fri, Oct 9Addai (hand) was listed as a limited participant at Thursday's practice, the Colts' official site reports.Recommendation: We'll see where Addai lands on Friday's official injury report, but so far there's no indication that his Week 5 status is in any doubt.(Rotowire.com)

From the reliable John Oehser of indyfootballreport.com - the most "inside" of the Colts blogs:

Also, Caldwell said the hand injury sustained by RB Joseph Addai in practice Wednesday won’t keep him from practicing or playing.

This has come up with a handful of other players. CBS seems to list anyone on the injury report during the week as questionable, which is erroneous information until teams declare their injured players Friday after practice at the end of the day. I would pretty much ignore their designations mid-week and only worry about players official designations heading in to the weekend.

 This caused a huge friggin problem in one league of mine last week where we can place people on an Injured Roster spot for a week if they are questionable on Friday. An owner placed Favre on the I/R spot - when the issue was raised as a 'clearly' illegal roster move, the CBS report was the proof that Favre was listed as questionable. Not saying or askign whether said owner was being shady. But if it wasn't for that report - which was flat out wrong and they - and everyone - knew it - then the issue would never have come up.I won't get into my thoughts on the issues with a Friday afternoon deadline in a league when the only real reports come out friday night - but I said it then and I said it now - that's just freaking lazy on CBS' part. They didn't even change Favre's status on Saturday when he was listed as good to go. It seems to me David hit the nail squarely on thehead. They just paint everyone with the same brush until Sat and even then, don't bother at times to change their listing. I don't believe it if I only 'hear' it on CBS.

There are about 8 to 10 injured Colts this week (mostly on defense - but also Gonzalez, who won't play - and LT Charlie Johnson, who likely won't play). Of those injuries - Addai is by far the most likely to play this week. I'd be stunned if he isn't playing this week.

They listed Randy Moss as questionable this week when he missed practice for a personal/non-injury related issue. LIke I said, if somone is limited or misses practice for whatever reason it seems like they get a "Q" next to their name.
