Josh Freeman - dynasty prospect (1 Viewer)

This time of year, some dynasty leaguers are looking to swap end of the bench guys who are giving us some points but have limited upside for guys with brighter futures but may be more volatile for the rest of the year.

Curious what some people thoughts on Josh Freeman are now that we've seen him in action.

I wasn't that excited about him from all the expert opinions I read: drafted too high, extremely raw, out of shape.

After actually watching a bit of him last week I was surprised by the pocket presence he showed as a rookie. Couple that with a lock on the job for the foreseeable future and I'm wondering where he would be ranked.

To give an idea of value, I'm thinking about dropping Garrard for him for my backup QB spot and buying in while he can still be had for next to nothing.

While I was certainly impressed with his poise in the game, it's still kind of hard to say. Green Bay gave him an awful short field all day long, which accounted for his TDs. Then again, he showed some escapability, which I didn't think he had.

Overall, he's got a long way to go. Until they have more weapons in Tampa Bay, I'll remain lukewarm. A solid prospect, but not in the best spot for quick success.
