Journalism is Dead: MSNBC Sucks up to Trump (1 Viewer)

Well this is the problem, a network puts a former politician on as a "pundit" or news reporter. That's completely wrong journalistically. Scarborough is likely on DT's short list of VPs.

You can throw in Sharpton, Stephanopoulas, Hume, Mitchell, Perino, Pirro, Brazeale, Cuomo, Hannity, Matthews, etc., all these politicians and politicos and activists who go on and do "news" when it's anything but. It's an industry-wide problem.
You obviously dont understand the difference between news reporters and political analysts who have political talk shows.

I do, I made the point to Higgs further up, pundits vs news.

I'm just saying a lot of viewers don't. I see RCT's point, as far as we're all concerned. I'm guessing Skoo's point is that people presenting news to people who believe it's objective news should follow some journalistic standard. However if journalism is dead (also Skoo's point) then it's dead.

The criticism stems from the fact that they are so cozy with the candidates that they can't even ask a "tough question" anymore.

This isn't about Trump.

It's about so-called "journalists" and their refusal to provide what is necessary for people to vote based on informed decisions.
I don't disagree, but I've never thought of Mika and Joe as journalists, either.

Love the Fishman avatar.

Mika is a journalist, a professional, and her background in diplomacy via her father and brother is beneficial. She's clearly liberal and I enjoy her. I don't think she comes across well in the Skoo snippet but overall I think she does a good job and she keeps that show balanced. Joe S. is outright a politician who gets to sit in a news chair.

Mika is awful.  Perhaps the worst MSNBC personality other than Al Sharpton.
