Darker Knight

This guy has looked pretty good filling in for Wes Welker and with the news that Welker could miss a significant amount of time this year how does this effect Edelman Dynasty value?

Where is this news?! If there is such news then there is a significant bump in his redraft value and a slight bump in dynasty leagues.

Per Rotoworld:Beat writer Mike Reiss would not be surprised if Wes Welker was "shut down" around the Patriots Week 8 bye for cleanup on his injured knee.Reiss' hunch is that Welker is dealing with swelling in his knee, and it's not a good sign that it happened so early in the season. He makes it clear that he's speculating, but the Patriots would want Welker to return to full health later in the season. The knee issue isn't going away on its own, so a minor scope makes sense. Welker owners should be protecting themselves with Julian Edelman as a handcuff.

Substitute the word "speculation" for "news" and that woould be more accurate.

His stock would go up this year if Welker continued to miss time or was out for much of the season. Beyond this year, it's hard to say.

Assuming better health down stream, Moss and Welker would be the main cogs and Tate will get a shot at the Galloway/Gaffney/Stallworth role. That leaves Edelman as the 4th receiver (with Galloway out of the picture). Beyond next year, who knows what the team and the league will look like given the labor issues. Moss would also be a free agent again.

There's a whole thread on this. I have also heard that there are likely other issues besides his knee . . . but again all speculation.

This kid has been nothing short of amazing. His transformation from college QB to WR has been astounding. He is Wes Welker, only quicker. Welker is more polished right now, obviously, but Edelman was the steal of the draft, IMO. In fact, Edelman's play resembles Welker's so much it's almost funny watching him. He's like a clone, LOL.

He's got Moss & Welker ahead of him now, but Edelman has big-time potential in dynasty leagues.
