I'm one of those Julius Jones' owners who took it up the backside. Then, last week, he decides to go off! That's exactly what I did, WENT OFF! Nice racking up the pts after your poor play this year contributed to my demise! Thanks JJ! While I say this tongue-in-cheek, I wonder where he will be drafted next year? When he's on, he's got the moves and speed to put up top 5 #s. But, he seems on about 50% because of injuries.I can't get a feel for JJ's value. Does last week and what he does the rest of the way significantly change your impression of him? Is he a top 20 pick?

He has the ability....just needs to stay out of the training room....he runs the draw better then anyother back I can think of.

Without thinking to hard about it, I would guess his ADP will be somewhere in the mid 2nd.

JJ could either be the steal of next years draft or just wallow his way to another 1,000 yards, 5 TD season.I think if he played a full 16 tough games, he'd get over 1300 yards/10 TDs and maybe 30/300/1

Thats about what my take is on the subject. I expect Dallas to upgrade their OLine. I doubt that they add another back. So the carry breakdown between him and Barber should average about 20/10 with game variations like we have seen the last few weeks.

He is a slightly above avg RB. If put in the right situation he could be decent. Good OL would help.. I think when I was watching the NFL on HBO even the announcer that was calling the game called JJ an avg RB.. Now understand he was a Carolina announcer but I tend to agree from what I have seen of JJ.. Nothing trikes me as good.. I will take him if he falls to the 3rd round though of a 14 team league..Everybody has value somewhere..

I think next year will be JJ's breakout year. The guy isn't brittle. He has had two injuries that were results of some strange accident. the first injury he had was a broken shoulder. That would sideline anyone. The second someone rolled up on his ankle. These aren't BS turf toe injuries, they are legitimate injuries that have nothing to do with durability. He isn't Chris Brown who pulls hammies or hurts his toe or something different every week.

I hate to bust your bubble but there is no way JJ makes it to the third round in a 14 team league, or even a 12 team league for that matter.He is an above average back. The Panthers defense is pretty solid and JJ torched them. He is finally healthy this season. When he is healthy he is a stud. The problem has been not getting injured.

One thing that few people are talking about is that Julius Jones really broke out in the receiving skills area this year after fighting the ball a lot in 04. MBIII's should actually help in the durability category and they are committed enough to the run in dallas that JJ should still get 20 carries a game with MBII getting his 10-15 touches. I like him in the early-mid 2nd next year.

Julius looked slower off the snap and seemed to go down on first contact, whereas Barber was both more powerfull and more elusive.I think a lot of it was due to the ankle injury and it finally appears as if Jones is all the way back. As for next season, I think JJ gets the majority of the carries, but I also think Barber gets a moderate amount of touches and plays on 3rd and long situations. This pushes JJ to the mid to late 20's overall in drafts and makes Barber a neccessary handcuff several rounds later.Disclaimer: I own JJ in one dynasty league and Barber in another, so I don't see myself being biased, although I am a Cowboys fan

I am in the same boat. I have Barber and JJ in my dynasty league. I think Barber is awesome and I think he is in the perfect role. He is a great third down and change of pace back. I really don't think JJ or Barber are every down backs though. I like JJ to have 20 carries unless he just gets hot and then he gets more carries but the injury bug just seems to find him.
