...needs to get the hell out of the way. Maurice Morris could be a decent #2 with 20 touches a game.
No. At the 4:30 mark of the 4th, Julius got 26 of his 41 on back to back runs with Philly in the prevent. Those final stats don't indicate how much more effective Morris was.You could make that argument for either of them. They had pretty similar numbers today. Morris - 8/43 0/0 Jones - 10/41 1/4The only thing that would keep this from being a committee is injury, as shown earlier this year.
As a Seahawk fan, and someone who has watched every game, I can easily say this team is better, adn is given a better chance to win when JJones is the premier runner. as a dallas fan who endured julius jones' tenure here, i laugh at "julius jones" and "premier runner" used in the same sentence
Had that turd when he was with Dallas. Pure garbage. No vision.No. At the 4:30 mark of the 4th, Julius got 26 of his 41 on back to back runs with Philly in the prevent. How effective was MOMO really? Thye got blown out in the Nest today, seriously?Only could be written from a FF Owner angle, not an NFL angle. I doubt they will be tlaking up MoMo tomorrow on any of the national sports talk shows....I know...it's a sad sad state of affairs in Seattleas a dallas fan who endured julius jones' tenure here, i laugh at "julius jones" and "premier runner" used in the same sentence

Well, he was given the opportunity to run the ball 8 times. He gained 43 yds. I'd say Morris was about as effective as the Seahawks allowed him to be. What would your NFL angle be on the subject?Ministry of Pain said:No. At the 4:30 mark of the 4th, Julius got 26 of his 41 on back to back runs with Philly in the prevent. I can get behind this idea.they both suck. leonard weaver is the best back on this team.
When MoMo was out, Julius had some of the best games of his career really. And the Seahawks were at or near the top of the NFL in rushing yds...since MoMo came back what have they done? Nothing!!!It's really that simple. MoMo has had chance after chance, he is fine as a COP back, maybe JJ is the suxor too but Jones was doing very well when he was the only back getting the ball. MoMo did not make anyone say Shaun Who when Alexander struggled with injuries.Well, he was given the opportunity to run the ball 8 times. He gained 43 yds. You've gotta be kidding me. Back when Hutchinson was still there and that line was dominant, MoMo would step in for Alexander and they wouldn't skip a beat. I remember it being a Michael Turner type situation where, every year the talk would be "when will Morris get his chance?" And as far as Jones' best games of his career vs. the Rams 29th ranked run D and the 9er's 19th ranked pass D...please. Jones is an absolute dog. He proved that for year in Dallas. I am not sure why a 26 yard run should be thrown out? Seems like the Seahawks could have used a few more big plays.Totally JMO, but it seems to me that neither MoMo or Jones stand out at all as being great RBs. I imagine they will both continue to be used through the rest of the year, regardless of your fantasy squad.No. At the 4:30 mark of the 4th, Julius got 26 of his 41 on back to back runs with Philly in the prevent. Now that - we can agree on. It'll continue to be RBBC because, I honestly don't think the O-line is good enough to allow anyone to truly dominate back there.I am not sure why a 26 yard run should be thrown out? Over 2006 and 2007 MoMo had roughly 300 carries for 1,200 yds and 4 TD...those are his rushing totals...I don't see the spark that you do, but we can agree to disagree. You've gotta be kidding me. Too bad he's a full back. TJ Duckett deserves a few more carries between the 20s.they both suck. leonard weaver is the best back on this team.
I don't think he was bad at all in Dallas and he certainly was not bad when they allowed him to be the feature back just like he was pretty good with the Seahawks the few games this year he got to be the feature ball carrier. He is someone whose production increases as he gets more carries, he just does not seem to function as well when part of a RBBC.Prior to his last season in Dallas when he was made into more of a role player his low YPA was 3.9 with a career average over 4. His last year with Dallas, when it evolved into more of a RBBC, he had his worst year and his YPA fell to 3.5. I don't see whats so terrible about that? His crime is he's not Marion Barber but not many are. I'm puzzled as to why Holmgreen moved away from using JJ as the feature back after his strong showings early in the year when Momo went down. He arguably had the two best games any skill player on that offense has had all year but still could not hold Morris for the feature role and the entire running game has seemed to suffer since. As we saw with JJ"s last year in Dallas he just not seem to run as well when part of a RBBC but he has had 25 games in his career were he got over 20 carries and he averages 4.2 YPC and 104 yards per game in those 25 games including two 100+ games this year with Seattle. It's Momo who needs to step aside.as a dallas fan who endured julius jones' tenure here, i laugh at "julius jones" and "premier runner" used in the same sentenceHad that turd when he was with Dallas.
