Both were productive last year and have seen both similialry ranked all over the place. June is a solid tackler but relies most on big plays to score, which is good and bad. Brackett on the other hand has less big plays but is a more reliable tackler, however he is coming back from injury.

Each have their own positives and minuses? Who would you rather have?

June is also in his final year of contract and is likely to be elsewhere next year. Indy could look to see how Keiaho or another does in his place....

I like Brackett for his overall LB ability. June is all about "opportunity".... sometimes you get them, sometimes you don't.

June will miss alot of opportunities this year!

Rock solid take.... of course, that's easy to say when one agrees! I think June is perhaps one of the most over rated LB's out there. A nice #3, but I would not want to rely on a repeat of the 5 INT's and 2 TD's he had last year.... and that is what made him formidable, scoring wise. He could land anywhere next year, so I have even more doubts about him in a dynasty league.

Normaly the WLB in the cover 2 is the best Lber to have but that is not the case imo when comparing Brackett and June.

June is a convert from a Db so he is not as strong a tackler as other WLB in the sceme have been.

Brackett was impressive. He made several interceptions on top of solid tackle numbers. And looks to be good for quite awhile moving forward.

I believe Brackett officially broke out last year, and the Colts did make resigning him a priority.. He should be solid for years

June missed 3 games last year. Probably injuries that he could have played through, if needed, but considering the Colts were killing it last year, no need to push it, so they coasted after that they took that first loss. Add to that the fact that June is in the position to make the big plays and is a 3 down LB, I'll take June.

Brackett played all 16 games. So, that's the big difference in your tackle numbers. Also, is Brackett a 3 down LB? I believe it was Thorton and June last year in the nickle. June and who this year?

As for June's skills, I think people are underestimating him. The guy is an athletic freak. As noted, a converted safety playing LB, but he has put on the necessary size to play the position and considering he plays a pursuit postion his skills fit perfectly.

My final observation, in watching the Colts last year, it just seemed like June was always around the ball. Hence, the big plays, but it's also good just to see a guy pursuing and being around the ball. It will continue to create opportunities for him.

June plays very well in that role, until he proves otherwise he is a solid LB that i put ahead of anyone on the colts

I would say June
June puts up very solid numbers but so does Brackett. Look for both to have good years but for the Colts to let June walk next year, ala Peterson,Thornton and Washington. With Hagler,Gardner,Kieiho, Pope etc they have plenty of June's to spare.

Had to vote for Brackett in this one.

Agree with Birdie that Brackett is a safer bet and that June depends on opportunities given.

I voted for Brackett.

I did so because I prefer to go with the player I feel will get the consistent points as opposed to the guy who will get nothing one week and blow up the week after.
