Just got back from the Reds game (1 Viewer)

There is no other way to watch a game. Period. I have a newfound respect for anyone who can even make contact with a professionally thrown pitch. I bacame close friends with the Ump. Phillips gave us "the gun" after crossing home on his HR. Awesome. Awesome. AWESOME!

The free food and drinks didn't hurt either. If anyone dvr'ed it, I'm the guy picking his nose on the left of the hitter. :P

Oh, and drunk people are funny. :lmao:

I've sat in those seats at Great American Ballpark. They're amazing, and the food was outstanding. I was there when the Reds played the Yankees in inter-league play, and it was great to be close enough merely to whisper to Jeter that he sucked. :lmao:

very :goodposting:

I've always enjoyed GA. I've never sat as close as you before, but I can imagine how nice it would be.

I'd rather be in the cheaper seats with my people, I've found most people with the good seats care more about socializing and getting on TV than the actual game itself. I want to watch the game and be surrounded by people who care about the game, that hasn't happened either time I've been near home plate.

I'd rather see five games from the left field line than one game from behind home plate. Free tickets though? Ok, that's worth it.

I disagree. If you really want to appreciate the game, these are the seats to have. You have the batter's view of every pitch. Other than waving for 30 seconds when my kids called me because they saw me on TV, I totally forgot there were cameras on. I'd argue that all the goofballs up in the bleachers goofing around trying to get on the big screen are less focused on the game than almost every person in our section. Loved it.

Notice I didn't say bleacher seats, I said the line. The loonies in the bleacher seats are just as bad as those near home plate, it's just a different kind of bad. I'm primarily speaking for Comerica Park and The Jake, so other parks and their atmosphere may be different. Just saying what I experienced at both of those parks...and the other parks I've been to and had seats along the line I've had a similar experience.

Sat in the 4th row behind home plate at Jacobs field for a Indians vs Yankees game. The tickets were a birthday present to my mom.

:missing: Happy birthday Mom! And as an added surprise, we're going to a strip club later. My treat!

That was you! I kept telling my wife, "You remember that guy that was always picking his nose at the poker game?" Her: "They were all doing it." :lmao: Field seats down 3rd baseline Friday for the Indians! :hot:
