you think everyone is voting accurately?
One problem with these polls is that I think it they try to answer two things.  I trust that most members can accurately describe their own political beliefs, but it gets weird when you ask them to describe how the board leans.  I have no idea how the board leans.  There's a huge proportion of members on the board who don't really post in political threads.

I think a more descriptive poll might be to ask members how they would vote for President out of all the contenders (with the caveat that they are to ignore electability and just vote for the candidate that best mirrors their views).

Traditionally I would think that middle aged white football fans leaned way to the right. It is a little surprising to me that we lean left now.

The other boards I've been to seem much less educated than this one.
Some of the local Disqus run tags on the local news sites have been removed or stopped when they updated their websites. The things people would post were so vile and so over the top, seemed like the news stations could not remove the posts for whatever reason so they just did away with it.

My comment is this...Just because you take down those forums on a website, the people stop having an avenue to post vile filth but they still are alive and breathing, many times right here in America...you can't make problems go away by just silencing a group of people.

-I'm not the Trump enthusiast I was painted as however like many other Trump voters I have asked others voting for him why they want to...the answers are all over the map but many revolve around PC Policies and the PC Police...I used to post often that just because you enact new laws and a few elite thinking folks feel good about it, doesn't mean you can reprogram the majority of people's brains.

-They(not sure who they are but they are there) have made the human emotions of anger or displeasure or irritated into capital crimes with premeditated attachments now for good measure and harsher punishments. If that's not mind control, the idea that we have to love everyone and accept everyone from around the World and raised in places that do not match our value system here in America.

But to your point which I bolded, yeah as much as I scratch my head at times, this forum has a lot more on the intellectual side vs other sites and forums. That said, this place has thinned out big time and I don't see it being able to sustain another 10 years...that said word on the street is FBG is doing well and expanding, maybe forums in general are dinosaurs which is what I read. I don't understand how you can have meaningful dialogue on Twitter with only room for a few words.

I may have to rethink my opposition:

(CNN)George Mason University recently renamed its law school after the late Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia -- and then quickly realized the acronym that name created was problematic.

The school first announced it would change the name to The Antonin Scalia School of Law, or ASSoL

Heard that on the radio this morning. Guessing they didn't think that one through until they went to get the first new batch of sweatshirts printed out. Oops, #######.

This is my law school. The only positive to result from this debacle is that in the future it's extremely unlikely that liberals would enroll there not knowing that it's essentially a Koch Bros academy, like I naively did.

What a cluster####.

One of my best friends is a liberal Mason Law grad.  It didn't hurt him to get a little Law & Econ.  Mason had some success in branding itself as a school that was trying to emulate what Chicago used to be.  It's not a bad strategy, and because of its proximity to DC its probably best for its students to have a pipeline into those jobs.
