What is the currant status of the Jacksonville nickel defense? I saw in the game against Miami that in the red zone Jacksonville had Daryl Smith instead of Justin Durant in the package. Also who is technically the weakside linebacker there? Is it Smith? Durant? or do they even have a true weakside/strongside? or is it more of a leftside/rightside?

Need some guidance...

This is my general opinion as well. Smith may start the season in the nickel; though he never emerged as a stud in the middle, he's better than average in coverage. The Jags are more of a right/left team than weak/strong. The expectation is that Smith will play on the left and Durant on the right.
