Justin Germano (1 Viewer)

He should take Boomer's spot in the rotation, but I'm not sure Bud Black can do that to DW.

Germano will get another start before Hensley returns, and if he's lights out again, Clay will have to go to long relief until an injury occurs. Germano's simply been too good.

He doesn't walk anyone and he keeps the ball on the ground, which is good. But his K rate is pretty lousy, I mean to not strike out a Mariner in 6 innings is pretty amazing.

Obviously the incredibly low BABIP points to a correction, but he could at least be usable if he keeps up the Chien Ming Wang impression. I just wouldn't expect Peavy-esque numbers.

Not a starter

Sure wish the Phils didn't release him in the spring. They had gotten him from the Reds in the Cormier trade last year.

I've been tempted to pluck him off the wire in my deep NL league. I'm holding on it though, because that K rate is atrocious. He's like the 2007 version of 2006 Jeremy Sowers, but like with Sowers it can't last.

In a deep NL league I would think he's worth starting and riding out the hot streak.

Hensley got roughed up in Portland Friday night, and Black stated after the game last night that Germano will get at least 2 more starts.

Looks more and more like Clay Hensley's going to need a break to get back into the rotation.
