Juwan Thompson - anything to see here? (1 Viewer)

This has been posted in a few of the other Bronco RB threads going around, but thought it might be useful to talk specifically about this guy. Don't know anything about him, so I thought some might have some info.

The Bronco RB is obviously a plum spot, with Ball having faltered/gotten injured already and Hillman (despite his big game last week) perhaps not up for a workhorse role and faltered in the past himself. Granted, Moreno was left for dead last year and produced big time, so Hillman could do the same. But a Hillman injury or ineffectiveness could open the door for a Thompson or CJ Anderson.

Thoughts on Thompson's potential?

Broncos | Juwan Thompson at No. 2 RB Sat Oct 18, 04:39 PM

Denver Broncos RB Juwan Thompson is slotted behind RB Ronnie Hillman on the depth chart, and he is a versatile back. He never rushed for more than 500 yards in a season in college, but he caught the ball well, blocked well and played special teams. He even started a game at linebacker in college.

Worth a flier in deep leagues. (I have him in two)

but not much else and likely not in redraft.

Juwan Thompson rushed four times for 63 yards and caught one pass for 14 yards in Sunday's Week 14 win over the Bills.

With C.J. Anderson rolling his ankle a couple times, Thompson got a few more chances than expected. He made the most of them by showing serious burst for a player that goes 225 pounds. Thompson is the handcuff to Anderson until Ronnie Hillman and Montee Ball return from injury. They are both more week to week than day to day.

Should we start warming up the train?
Probably not this season unless CJ misses time, but Thompson has a lot of raw ability & is vastly underrated. I believe he has the highest upside of any of their RBs. I like his chances in 2015.

It wouldn't surprise me at all if Thompson is their starting RB by this time next year, possibly even to start the season.
