:banned: Go out and celebrate KROB.
normally, i like your posts DD, but why is this funny to you? congrats to krob. he looked in the mirror a few years ago and didn't like what he saw. instead of blaming everyone but himself he actually made some difficult changes to his life and is now reaping the rewards. props

Like KROB, I have my bad moments. I wish him well but also wish he had lived up to his high expectations in Seattle.

I apologize.

Hmmm, that's interesting news. If the Vikings actually use him more in their gameplan he could put up some good numbers.

If I can get over my grudge against him for my team losing the championship game by 1 point because he couldn't even get 10 yards I may consider keeping him.

I guess the question though would be, who will be throwing him the ball?

I think the true test will be how he handes re-attaining some measure of success and security.

Another contract with some strange contract terms.

$5.5 million in guaranteed money. Looks like total base salary over the contract is $2.7 million with additional bonuses that if achieved would total another $4.5 million. Not sure what triggers the bonuses, as the article doesn't specify. Looks like a 3-year deal worth from $8.2 to $12.7 million.

Vikings | K. Robinson receives $10 million in bonuses

Updating prevoius reports, Sean Jensen, of the Pioneer Press, reports Minnesota Vikings WR Koren Robinson received $10 million in bonuses in his new three-year contract with the team. Of the $10 million, $5.5 million of it is guaranteed. Due to Robinson's past, the contract does protect the team in case he gets into more off-the-field issues.

Vikings | K. Robinson contract update

Adam Schefter, of the NFL Network, reports Minnesota Vikings WR Koren Robinson signed a three-year contract worth $12.7 million. With the options involved in the contract, the deal is really a one-year contract worth $3 million.

Vikings having a horrendous offseason.

KRob cleaned up for the big payday, now he can go back to being himself.

I'll be shocked if he avoids suspension over the next couple years.

Actually, I think KRob is going to surprise and be very productive.

He might hold it together for a bit. I'm just saying i'd be shocked if 3 years from now KRob is still the choir boy he seems to be now.One year of good behavior will lock up millions for him, after that when he doesn't need the money who knows how he'll react.

I saw this morning that K-Rob's new contract has not officially appeared on the NFL transaction report although his agent is still saying he re-signed. Given that it was a week ago, I wonder if there is anything to this or if it's nothing more than an oversight.

Anyone know if he was on the love boat? Just looking to see if he was part of that mess or is he doing the smart thing.

I'm guessing that if he were, he'd be in jail for violation of parole.

He did sign. They were talking about the conduct/substance abuse rules that are in his contract yesterday.

I'm not saying he didn't sign. I'm just wondering why it apparently has not been posted on the league transaction report. I saw this on USA Today, and they were the ones who were wondering if the league got the contract and simply didn't add it to the transaction wire, if the Vikings haven't turned it in to the league, or if there is something about the contract that is causing someone consternation and prompting the delay.

dynasty owners rejoice. if you have him you probably got him for ed mcafree or barry sanders and right now he is back on the team he's "matured" with, has a sweet rappor with brad johnson, and is most likely the #1 receiving threat on a team with a new coach that loves to throw the football.

for redraft i think he will initially be undervalued, and will garner a lot of hype once the preseason games roll through.

I read somewhere (please don't ask for the link, because it was right after he signed) that the deal is basically a one year deal for the team, if they want it to be. In other words, after year one, they are not out much if they let him go. If this is true, then it isn't that bad of a deal for the Vikings since they are only taking the "risk" on him this season.
