Anyone understand why the Hawks haven't moved Chancellor to IR?

Is there still the possibility he plays again this year?

My guess is it's a playoff stash.  If they IR him he's gone for the playoffs but if they make a deep run that's another 2 months for him to heal before the Superbowl, 6 weeks to conference championships.

Saw this last week  - Good read here, it makes sense that maybe due to the salary cap they just do a 1 for 1 swap with another player when they are able to suit up:
