Keep 1 - 1st time in a keeper league, advice needed (1 Viewer)

PPR league, 1 pt/10 yards, all TDs 6.  18 rounds/ roster spots, start 1 QB, 2 RB, 3 WR, 1 TE, 1 Flex.  Redraft except for single keeper, costs you your pick two rounds prior to where drafted the year before.  I drew the #6 pick in a 12-team draft, so I pick 6th in the odd rounds and 7th in the even rounds.

Zeke by a mile. This being a 12 team league, assume the top 12 players are kept. Zeke is a consensus top 5 option for redraft. You won't get him back if you keep any of the others, and miss out on a true workhorse back.

Anyone drafted in the first two rounds of last year's draft tis ineligible to be kept. The only players right now that are consensus 1st round picks right now that are being kept are Kamara and Gurley. If I don't keep Zeke, my likely choices at 1.6 would be either ODB or Hopkins at WR or the Barkley/K. Hunt/Gordon group at RB.

I assume it goes (Gurley and Kamara kept) :

1 - Bell

2- DJ

3- Elliott

4 - A. Brown

5 - Hopkins or a RB

6 (me) - Hopkins or whatever RB isn't taken at 5 (Barkley/Hunt/Gordon, etc.) 

Oh and the guy with pick 12 will probably keep Fournette.

Also, if I do decide to keep Elliott, I'm already trying to trade picks 6 and 19 for 10 and 15. No reason for the guy at 10 not to trade according to value calculators and I'll move up 4 spots in round 2 without really giving up anything.

Yeah, sucks you don’t have a nice value keeper but Zeke is the clear guy to keep here. Even if Penny is out for the year and Carson is the starter, I keep Zeke.

If I make the trade prior to declaring a keeper, I would sacrifice pick 10 for Elliott rather than 6.

I agree that Zeke is the clear choice in your original poll.  Although not amazing value, he's the right choice.  You are playing 2 RB and there are really only 4-5 studs, of which you will be getting one.  I am a big Ertz, and Eagles fan, so I love him, but i think you have a slight chance of getting him at 4.7 anyway.  I'll read the rest of your post here in a second about your new idea.
