Keep Akers in Dynasty? (1 Viewer)

We have to cut down to 30 players in our Dynasty league soon.  Wondering if I should bother keeping Akers?  Achilles injuries for a RB are grim.

Yes, if me, I am keeping him.  If your league has IR spots, once they are activated, I would be moving him there for the season.

No IL available it is a 14 team league with 30 man rosters.

Who are you keeping over him?  That is really the crux of the question.  I wouldn't automatically cut Akers just because of this.  I would also think you could get a draft pick for him if you really wanted to get rid of him.  I don't think cutting him is in your best interest.

14 team 30 man rosters is 420 total rostered players.  

If you aren't losing anything for keeping him, you'd have to think keeping him would be worth more than the 30th man on your roster.

I'd keep him.

no IR...  and 30 man roster, I am keeping him...  Gally brings up a good point, going to assume you will get some offers.

I would not intend to cut him, and I would go out of my way to keep him, if I had him in my dynasty league.

I wouldn't cut him.  However, Achilles injuries are brutal for RB's.  He could come back, but will never be the same or have the same upside that he once had.  I would try to trade him and take any decent offer, even if I thought it was poor value.

I definitely wouldn't cut him.  I'd try to sell him and see what you can get.  And keep trying to sell him during the season.

Yup, he's a hold and sell, not a cut. I'm in the same position and seen a little ebb and flow of his value the past few weeks. I saw one offer I probably should have pounced on, but now people are trying garbage. I'll be holding until later in the season and then see what I can get then.
