Keep M. Thomas in 10th or J. Howard as last pick? (1 Viewer)

PPR League, 17 rounds, I have 9th overall pick.

Hard to answer without knowing your roster. 

Both elite talents. Both back end 1st/early 2nd round picks. 

Both have youth. 

If you need a RB, keep Howard. If you need a WR, keep Thomas. I see them as relatively equal value. Only Q is how long Brees will play. Howard is on a young team.

I'm going howard, simply because he is cheaper, and is more valuable.

Ah - in that case I'd probably keep Thomas. Massive upside with the departure of Cooks & Snead being in the doghouse. 

But again, it's hard to say without knowing who else is being kept. What RB1 might you end with if you keep Thomas? What WR1 if you keep Howard?

Won't know exactly who is kept until just before draft time tonight. But what I know or think will happen will take dj, leveon, gordon, mccoy, and probably freeman and jay off the board. At 9 I don't see either howard or a top WR falling if I keep Thomas just because so many Rbs are most likely being kept. Might have a chance at Thomas at 9 though so that has me leaning toward Howard.

and of those RBs only 2 were taken in the first last year so there will be a good amount of picks probably before my 9th

In that case I'd take Howard and hope for Thomas, but honestly you can't answer your question until you get there. Hopefully mulling it over here helped though.
