Do you know your draft slot & is it only a keep 1? I lean Hopkins. Should see a good amount of targets from Tannehill. Good player & good value. Fields is a close 2nd, since it's standard & his rushing ability will help a lot. Jacob's continued hold out is concerning & even though I like Lockett, will be interesting to see if his value goes up or down, with him moving to the outside, while they also now have Smith-Njigba.
Definitely Hopkins as one…… for the second, Field’s ADP is 47( QB7) which equates to 3.11, so giving up a 5th for him might seem ok, but would need to know what QBs would be kept in your league, cause these QBs have a lower ADP and would probably be better options (Lawrence ADP 59 (QB 8), Watson ADP79 (QB 9), Prescott ADP 89(QB 10) Tua ADP 93 (QB11). Don’t know what your thoughts are, but drop off from Fields to the other 4 QBs I listed is none in my opinion.
On the other hand, Smith-Njigba just broke a bone in his wrist/hand and will be out for a while, so that may mean more targets for Lockett. Locket’s ADP is 69 as WR31. Meaning 6th round draft capital And probably low end WR2 to high end WR3…. Giving up a 10 rd (anywhere from pick 108-120, seems like the better value. ADP for WRs in 10th rd is WR 47-52… that’s WR4-WR5 range and I think that drop off would be bigger than Fields to one of the other QBs that should be available, unless they are all kept.
I'll eliminate Jacobs first. Even if he was to report today, he'd be a 2nd rounder at best. No value in keeping him.
I then would keep Hopkins. Even in TEN, he's a better value than the other options you have.
So it becomes Fields vs Lockett for the final spot. I'll lean Lockett for many of the same reasons as N4F posted above me, mainly that there isn't a lot seperating Fields from the QBs rated just below him. Lockett isn't the sexiest pick but he's reliable and has good value at that price.
Non-PPR. Start 1 QB, 1 WR, 1 RB, 1 TE, 2 Flex (not SF), 1 K, 1 D/ST. 1 keeper per team, no player kept in 2023 can be kept in 2024. Sleeping Giants - Trevor Lawrence (8.06) Big Dogs - DeVonta Smith (7.10) Sunday Funnies - Kenneth Walker III (9.05) Mavericks - Odell Beckham Jr. (13.01) PPE -...
Lockett is super efficient with the targets he receives. He'll be steady. Take Lockett And Hopkins. You can still end up with good players at value and some new ones at a discount
If it's a 1 QB league it crosses Fields off the list. Jacobs is crossed off due to his holdout situation and he will likely be there in the 2nd round if you wanted to get him back. So by default it becomes the other two guys.
With Jacobs signing it puts him back on the list but would depend on where you are drafting. If you are the end then I likely don't freeze him because you can likely get him back at that pick if you like him better than the other options. If you are early in the first (late 2nd) then Jacobs is a keeper. The other would be Hopkins for me.
I'm keeping Jacobs here. The guys who talk about redrafting Jacobs may not be thinking about the other 22 players being kept. Jacobs is likely one of the top 5 players that would get tossed back and I'd expect him to be drafted earlier than even 2.01. I'm keeping the best players and for me that's Jacobs and Hopkins.
