Keeper and draft strategy (1 Viewer)

10 team, super flex, PPR league. Snake draft - 2nd pick. I can choose one keeper

Lamar Jackson - lose 3rd round pick
Baker Mayfield - lose 16th round pick
Ladd McConkey- lose 16th round pick

Crazy idea is to keep Lamar and then take Josh Allen or Jayden Daniels with my 1st pick and double up on the QB elites. Downside is I lose my 3rd round pick where I can potentially get my WR1 or RB1.

Less Crazy idea is to keep Baker with my 16th round pick and take Lamar, Allen or Daniels with my 1st pick and have my two QBs set after round 1 with Lamar/Allen/Daniels and Baker. Downside is - what if Allen, Daniels, Burrows and Hurts are all keepers (possible) and Lamar is taken at 1. I’d lose out on all of them.

Thoughts? Other ideas?

With only one keeper I don't mess around too much in a SF and just keep Lamar. what you do after that is up to available players.

Scoring system really matters with respect to the value of QB in a SF. Does the scoring require you to use a QB in the SF to be competitive? That dictates if you force QB in the draft.

Yes, without a QB in the superflex you are certainly at a disadvantage. Last year QB’s were 7 of the top 10 overall scorers. If you are stacked elsewhere you could get away with a WR or RB in the SF and this happens on bye weeks, but the trend is certainly to try and play two QB’s.

Lamar in the super flex league, even in the 3rd round you are gaining 2 rounds of keeper value and based on the other teams he would probably be the 1.01 pick.

Do I double up and take Daniels or Allen with my first pick?
All depends on your options at that spot. If QB is that dominant then it probably makes sense but it also hinges on what QB's are still on the board and what you could get later as well as what other players are there at that time.
