Keeper disaster (1 Viewer)

Hi guys, I have to have my keepers in by Friday. I've been dreading this. Normally I'm pretty level headed but don't know what to do. Holdouts and suspensions ruin my normally easy pick(s).

Keepers are 2 total and you just lose whatever draft pick/round you choose the keeper that they were drafted from.

League format is QB, WR, WR, RB, RB, TE, W/R/T, W/R/T, DEF, BN, BN, BN, BN, BN, BN, BN, IR

Scoring rewards big plays/games:

Completions: .25

Incomplete Passes:  -.25

Passing Yards: 20 yards per point; 3 points at 300 yards; 4 points at 400 yards; 5 points at 500 yards

Passing Touchdowns: 5

Interceptions: -3

Rushing Yards: 10 yards per point; 5 points at 100 yards; 3 points at 150 yards; 5 points at 200 yards

Rushing Touchdowns:6

Receptions: 1

Receiving Yards: 10 yards per point; 2 points at 100 yards; 4 points at 150 yards; 5 points at 200 yards

Receiving Touchdowns:6

Return Yards: 20 yards per point; 2 points at 100 yards; 3 points at 200 yards

Return Touchdowns: 6

2-Point Conversions: 2

Fumbles Lost: -3

Offensive Fumble Return TD: 6

Pick Sixes Thrown: -4

40+ Yard Completions: .5

40+ Yard Passing Touchdowns: 1.5

40+ Yard Run: 2.5

40+ Yard Rushing Touchdowns: .5

40+ Yard Receptions:1.5

40+ Yard Receiving Touchdowns: 1

Rushing 1st Downs: .25

*************************************2018 Draft Position

Keenan Allen (LAC - WR) Round 1, Pick 5

Kareem Hunt (Cle - RB) Round 2, Pick 8 (Keeper last year)

Demaryius Thomas (NE - WR) Round 3, Pick 5

Golden Tate (NYG - WR) Round 4, Pick 8

Carlos Hyde (KC - RB)  Round 5, Pick 5

Kyle Rudolph (Min - TE) Round 6, Pick 8

Melvin Gordon III (LAC - RB) Round 7, Pick 5 (Keeper last year)

Philip Rivers (LAC - QB) Round 8, Pick 8

Tevin Coleman (SF - RB) Round 9, Pick 5

(10 and 11 were dropped, so doesn't matter)

Tyrell Williams (Oak - WR) Round 12, Pick 8

Chris Godwin (TB - WR) Round 13, Pick 5

Spencer Ware (Ind - RB) Round 15, Pick 5

Giovani Bernard (Cin - RB) Round 16, Pick 8

I took this team over that wasn't doing well, in 3 years I've been rebuilding and last year had a solid year. I just look with Gordon and Hunt out and no clear outcome for either, those 2 are probably out....but I feel like I don't have anyone else WORTH a keeper. I had initially thought about Spencer but I hear he isn't doing to well and is expected to be released. Any help or input? Should I just completely re-draft (keeping in mind many "studs" will already be gone because of other teams and their keepers)?

Any input and help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Melvin Gordon in round 7 is a slam dunk keeper. Nobody really stands out after that but I would either do Coleman in round 9 or Williams in round 12. I would be OK with either of those in that round.

I agree with Warhogs here.  Keep Gordon (worth the risk at that price point) and Coleman.  I like Coleman over Tyrell Williams because RB's are harder to come by and with McKinnon still having issues I think Coleman will get a lot of touches.

I'd go with Gordon & Godwin.

You can keep the same player again and again for the same price, right? If so then Gordon is the clear best bet - he won't hold out every year, and you get to keep him for a 7th until the wheels fall off.

Godwin is going ahead of Coleman in redraft and in dynasty, and is a later pick, so Godwin > Coleman. (Unless your scoring setup does something weird that reverses that?)

That is correct. It is the same every year. That is why you see for Gordon its 7 round 5th pick, and others you see "X" round 8th pick.

I really appreciate all the help and input from everyone! I thought that the hold out thing was gonna make my keepers worse and that you guys might say it's not worth keeping a single person lol.
