Keeper League: Roster Management (1 Viewer)

I'm sure many of you reading this are in similar leagues as I am with a 2-keeper structure that is a midway point between dynasty and re-draft. We get up to 2 keepers each year with an increasing value the longer you keep them. If I drafted Mike Thomas (NO) last year with my 7th round pick, I can keep him with my 5th round pick this year, 3rd next and 1st the year thereafter. With that need some guidance from the shark pool!!!

Sitting at 4-2 and #3 in total points for the league I've lost OBJ and have the Zeke crisis on my hands. The LeVeon Bell owner wants James Conner from me in exchange for Darren McFadden, but I drafted Conner in the 15th round... Do you protect this year's push for glory by handcuffing Zeke with McFadden while forgoing potential future value in Conner given the Bell situation in Pittsburgh that could very well see Conner being the primary ball carrier next season or even earlier given LevBell's injury history?

Roster below for context:

Position (# started) along with notable keepers:

QB (1): Brees

RB (2): Zeke, A.Jones, J.Allen, D.Lewis (15th round), D.Henry (6th round), J.Conner (15th round)

WR (2): M.Thomas (K-5th round), K.Allen, Agholor, Smith-Schuster, M.Williams (LAC), OBJ (K-IR, ineligible to be kept)

TE (1): Gronk

Flex (2 -- RB/WR/TE)

K (1): Butker

DST (1): Panthers, Saints

A two keeper league is much close to a redraft than a dynasty.  I would look to this year and do what I can to win this year and not really worry about keepers.  In a two keeper league I wouldn't worry about Connor in the future as you will probably have two better keepers available.  I would make that trade if you are worried about Zeke.

I agree with Gally, play for this year. Plus you have a couple of other potential keepers in your pocket already Yjomas and Henry plus you didn't list the rounds for Williams, Smith-Schuster, Allen, Jones  or Gronk that could all be potential keepers. Why are you holding onto OBJ if he is ineligible to be kept? He isn't coming back this year. I'd also drop the Panthers and roll with the Saints and use that spot for a lottery ticket or a TE to cover Gronks bye..
