Keeper question with Zeke suspension (1 Viewer)

SHOULD I STILL SET HIM AS MY KEEPER?

I pick 10th out of 10 team keeper snake draft.  We keep one player and lose that round.  I got Zeke in the first, so I was going to keep him.  However, I also drafted Mike Thomas in the 12th round.  It is a PPR league.

With this suspension, do I still keep Zeke, or should I keep Thomas instead?  One thin to consider is that 8 of the 10 teams make the playoffs, so as long as I'm not bottom 2, I'd have Zeke and his fresh legs for a playoff run!

Thoughts?

Thank you!!

Hopefully you don't have to decide right now, as a lot could still happen with Elliott, but if you do, then yes Thomas is a better option.

True!  Just read an article that with delays and postponements, he could work it that he plays all of 2017.  Gave examples of Brady, and the Williams of Minnesota.

I think those were different circumstances and different times and not domestic abuse issues.  I would doubt he is clear this year but it may be reduced.  The league is trying to come down hard on domestic violence cases so I wouldn't be surprised if this suspension holds or at best drops to 4 games.

That all being said, you could likely keep Thomas and have a decent chance of getting zeke back at the 10/11 turn in your draft.  I would take that chance and keep Thomas.

Gally, thanks for responding.  I was wondering the same thing about possibly getting him at 11, but can't see that happening in my league.  There's potential for the guy who has DJ late in the draft taking Zeke here.  He could sit on him for the 6 weeks and then have one hell of a 1-2 punch!!

Burnall, thank you as well.  When I first looked at keeper potential, Thomas in the 12th jumped out at me right away, but then I got worried about not having an RB of that caliber on my team anywhere.   I guess I could always load up at RB, trying to find the one that hits.  I'm a late QB and TE drafter anyways.

I'll answer your question with a question; whoever you keep now, can you also keep in 2018 and beyond?  If so, stick with Zeke

Zeke is going to clog a roster spot for 7 weeks and there are no guarantees he doesn't do anything stupid while he is suspended.

Thomas is still great value and with picking at the end of the first round you can't afford to wait out 7 weeks without your keeper. Plus, there are some other red flags with Zeke too. His OL is not nearly as good as it was last year - They aren't nearly as deep and they shuffled some guys around due to attrition. Also, you would have to think they might open it up a little bit more with Dak being in his second year. I would feel very comfortable cutting him loose and keeping Thomas.

you can probably get zeke back in the second round since u pick last, let him sit on ur team and then keep him for a second plus u have Thomas this year too!
