I’m up 1 point in a PPR. I have Kelce. My opponent has Alex Smith. TD passes are worth 6 points. Unlikely Kelce outscores Smith. He hasn’t in any game this season. Are my odds improved starting Denver’s TE, Derby, even though he’s an inferior player? The thought being maybe Denver shuts down Smith and Derby gets a TD.

No. You play your best player. Don't get cute. I had DeAndre Hopkins and my opponent had Deshaun Watson. I still won....barely.

But didn’t Watson outscore Hopkins? That’s the issue for me tonight. If Smith outscores Kelce, I lose.

Depends on scoring system. Watson scored 38.78 to 35.40. But Denver allows pts. to TE. Just don't see how you sit a top 3 TE for AJ Derby.
