If SJax is unable to participate in practice this week, Haslett said he won't play. Pittman left with a hammy, and Minor will mostly likely be ruled out due to a concussion.

It might be a reach, but I'm curious about this guy's prospects. St. Louis didn't draft him, and instead picked him up for the IR'ed Leonard after the Bucs had cut him. Had to have seen something they liked, no? With the only other RBs on the roster being the newly acquired Gado and Dan Kreider, is Darby a possible bye week filler for Week 10?

FWIW, I'm sure the majority will laugh. But a lot of people laughed at Kolby Smith's prospects last week (who was doing well until he suffered his season ending surgery). I'm not expecting Darby to bust out, but instead expect just a guy that can fill in with 10-15 carries.

Now that Pittman is down, I would take a longshot with Gadobefore I got involved with T Trent Darby.

whoever he is, he's at the jets, and the jets figure to score on st louis, so I'd think he'd be a desperation play at best.

Yeah, that's why STL had Darby signed well before Gado. It makes sense to put your eggs in that basket. :construction:Darby was succesful RB in college and many expurts had him on sleeper lists. He looked like a decent find for TB orignally and had some success in their pre-season, but fell out of favor for reasons unknown.
