Kenny Britt (1 Viewer)

I'm suddenly very interested in Britt being that he fell to me at 2.07 in a 10 team dynasty rookie draft w/IDP. From what the OC down in Tennessee has said and Coach Fishers comments, I ascertain that the expectation is for him to get lots of PT this season. With Nate down temporarily does he have much competition for taking the WR3 role? And even when Nate returns, everyone knows he's not a WR1 and Gage sure hasn't shown that he is either. I've heard so much about Nicks and Harvin seemingly taking flight but I say Britt will be this years Bowe! I think that he's in just as good of a position as Nicks.

I think so. In dynasty, I eventually took him over Nicks at 1.12, after a bunch of thought.

His path to the WR1 spot is pretty clean, and Nicks has a lot of other young WR's to battle - although no one entrenched. While I know they haven't had a productive WR since Mason, then bennett for 1 season, there's no reason they can't have one. He looked really good in the first pre-season game, and I was expecting him to struggle having been out.

Nate Washington is no threat to a starting job - he's at best at #2 on a NFL team.

The bigger question is what's the prize? Not saying he can't pass Gage but what is the WR1 worth with Kerry Collins throwing the ball? And if you say Collins is gone in a year or two, fine, but what's the replacement? Another rookie QB? Not sure this is a team you want to have a lot of WRs on. The TE is used a lot, passes to the backs, not a lot of vertical passing game here.

I've heard Collins thrown around as a reason Britt can't do well but I just don't get it. Yeah, he's not an elite QB but he's entering his 15th year and still has a starting gig.. the guy can still figure out who's open. Not to mention, Amani Toomer had all five of his 1,000 yard seasons with Collins at the helm.

From what I've heard, he's a very confident young man (even a bit cocky) and I've also heard that he's shows up in big spots. Put this together with his size, reported toughness and situation and I think with some decent coaching, everyone might end up surprised at what kind of production can come out of Tennessee. Anyway what makes Eli so great? And aren't the Giants somewhat of a run-first team?

This is why I drafted him at 1.12. Can't believe how low he's falling. I like his build and skills for this league, and I think he could be a real value.

I got him at 1.15, but I seriously considered taking him at 1.11. I am very pleased with his preseason and his current opportunity. I had him in my top 3 or 4 WR in the draft this year, so I was thrilled to get him where I did.

Talent > Situation.Collins isn't a terrible QB, and Britt looked good in the preseason game. I think he can get enough stats to be useful with Collins, and soon.

I've been thinking of Britt for a bit, finally grabbed him in round 2 of my dynasty draft. I guess my biggest concern is will he get enough targets in a run first offense to be valuable.

From a talent/playing style POV he reminds me of Boldin/TO/Bowe... big, GREAT hands, not afraid to deliver a hit, and he's pretty fast

But, last year the Titans were 27th in passing yards, 28th in pass TDs. I just don't know if that kind of passing production is going to allow Britt to shine...

I'm hoping so, I know they really didn't really have any WRs last year, I mean their best WR was Gage, who is a journeyman backup IMO. Was it just a lack of good WRs? Will Britt become Collins favorite target since he can actually catch the ball? I'm hoping so.
