I never understood the hype with Balmer coming out. The guy never really produced on the field in college, seemed like more of a measurables guy that some fell in love with. Have no idea what's going on with him at the moment, but I do think it speaks large the 49ers were willing to trade him to a division rival. Clearly they just wanted rid of him.
