Keshawn Martin Most Likely Patriots Receiver To Fill In For Edelman (1 Viewer)

I mean if we are gonna pretend like biases are tied to ownership. Dola is a legit WR, Martin is a literally who undrafted by the Texans, snatched up by the Pats after he was waived, who has splashed once ever.

Dola has looked good in the NE offense since the beginning of the playoffs last year. Pretending for a second that Brady actually meant that Keshawn was gonna step into Edelmans role, he has to produce or they will simply not use him at all.

Dola has produced all year as the WR3, he has played the possession guy his entire career before last year and was good at it. Its true the Pats haven't used him like that because they haven't needed him to play that role (except for when Edelman missed time, went 8 of 11 for 63 against a tough Jets team.)
I was referencing ATB. Had Brady said Amendola was his guy he'd be hyping that as gospel, but what he hears is Brady disguising game plan and downplaying Amendola.Yes, if I could own one its Amendola, but it's equally possible Martin steps up into that role too. It's very conceivable, however, that Amendola stays in the slot, where he's been all season, and someone else steps into the Z, or whatever Edelman played

With the Amendola and Dobson injuries, what are the thoughts on Martin as next man up in the passing game?

Clearly he has to get himself healthy as well, but seems like the opportunity may be there - just a matter if he can take advantage of it.

If we're going to talk draft pedigree, Amendola was the one undrafted while Martin was a 4th round pick.

H2H
Correct me if I'm wrong, i thought the Texans also got a pick for him in return from the Pats.
Correct - 5th rounder. Which is not insignificant when you consider that the Pats don't throw around draft picks that easily. Unfortunately though, Martin hasn't shown much yet to see if he's up to the task of replacing Amendola and/or Dobson.

I guess maybe the answer here is Harper. So I'm guessing Gronk then LaFell.... then Harper, then White, then Chandler. Problem here is it's Denver's defense, which isn't great.

I expect them to use White and Bolden as receivers. Also expecting a lot of TE work.

Martin and Dola haven't been ruled out yet, they might play if they don't it's down to Harper and Slater behind Lafell.

“@jeffphowe: Danny Amendola has NOT been ruled out for Sunday yet, per sources. His knee will be tested tomorrow before Pats decide who travels.”

CBS Boston guy jumped the gun. Guess he wanted to be first.

@STEVEBURTONWBZ: Danny Amendola is out against the Broncos. In fact, not even traveling with the team. #WBZ 11/27/2015, 9:39 pm

With Dola out, its Lafell > Martin > Harper > Slater.

At TE they have Gronk > Chandler > Michaels > Cleveland.

And RB they have Blount > White > Bolden.

I could be wrong but I don't think we will be seeing very much 3WR sets, I think we will be seeing TEs and RBs lining up out wide quite often. Think in the redzone theres gonna be a lot of multiple TE sets, 3 and 4 TE sets.

Talib was asked how to stop Gronk and he said they were going to triple team him - I imagine Talib will be part of that triple team. I also expect TJ Ward to try and blow out Gronks knees. Its gonna be a sloppy game, if theres bad weather I think it benefits NE greatly.

The only Pat I'm super confident in starting this week is the Pats D and Ghost.

Ghost in supposedly 6+" snow with wind?

Where did you hear that forecast from? I'm seeing maybe light snow (1"-3") with 4 mph winds.

Who's putting him in the lineup?

I dropped him last week but am considering picking him back up and starting him over Diggs....

I am excited to see what Martin can do, but he won't be in my lineup He is a boom or bust type play this week, so I could understand some owners taking a swing for the fences with Martin. I guess it depends on your matchup. Too risky for me this week.
