Kevin Curtis and the Eagles...Reid came in to see him personaly (1 Viewer)

Reid was on a much needed vacation but came in to see Curtis, that tells me a lot. I can see Curtis pairing up nicely with McNabb who can chuck the long ball for sure. Curtis would probably get 2-3 long fly patterns weekly. Might not be an 80-100 catch guy in that offense. But 50-60 with a 16-20 yard average per catch. Probably 6-8TD potential as well. I hope he gets it done there.

Maybe scratch the 16-20 yd catch avg...he has never been more than 13 in the pass happy Rams offense, but I think most of the long balls ended up in Holt's hands there...still think he could produce WR2 numbers in Philly...an even better WR3.

I'm certainly happy to see this. I've learned to have faith in the Eagles decisions, or more specifically, their non-decisions to pursue "name" free agents that prove to be overpriced years later. But when your HC and head of the organization is dealing with personal issues and the "moves" you team has made amount to re-signing a backup defense lineman and giving a one-year flier deal to a flawed receiver, it's hard not to be nervous.

So while Curtis hasn't signed, I'm glad to see he's at least being given some attention.

I think he has the right mindset to be in Philly. I like Hank Baskett a lot but he is 1-2 seasons away from full development...Curtis can come in and line up opposite Reggie Brown immediately. Brown, Curtis, LJ Smith, Westbrook, this would make a nice solid group for McNabb to work with.

I'm happy to see this. As a stout supporter of K.Curtis. I believe he is a player who can break open a game on offence. As long as he is used properly and has a quality player on the other side of the field ,so as he is not always the main target, he can produce a lot of yards and long T.D.'s.

I'd have no problem on taking him in my redraft league. Not a #1, but......let see where he signs and the opportunity level he'll have.

:hifive:

My Dynasty Team W.R.'S has just gotten better with this signing. K.Curtis's worth has just gone up weather as a weekly line up addition or for a trade. Either way he is worth MORE than he was last year on a Dynasty Team.

actually, fantasy wise, i think curtis will be overvalued.

he will have some nice games, but will be hit or miss like stallworth was. yeah, i know he was injured part of the year, but the offense passing will just be hit or miss.

I think you have to specify a bit further...Kevin Curtis is more likely to catch less than 70 passes than he is 90+, that's for sure. So in that vein I agree that Curtis and Reggie Brown (and LJ Smith, etc...) are going to have inconsistent output week to week; and the fact Curtis is reportedly selfless no doubt played into the signing. We need a guy who COULD catch 8 passes a game but won't ##### and complain if he only gets two targets instead. But your statement that the passing game will be hit or miss. McNabb was leading the NFL in passing when he got hurt, and still finished 4th in passing yards, 1st in passing TDs, 3rd in yards per attempt, with the 2nd fewest INTs. Hardly "hit or miss."

I believe he means WR production throughout the year will be hit or miss.
