Kevin Faulk potential up? (1 Viewer)

Anyone think he gets a lot more carries and swing passes this week after last week's performance? Or will it stay about the same. Saw a few reports that indicate he could be in for even more carries in the stretch run and should be considered as a starter in your lineup.

IMO he is doing the same thing he has done for years why would anything change.

I'm not sure, which is why I'm asking. Here's a blurb from another site about him, but I don't know if it's a trustworthy writer:

Q: I can add either Sammy Morris or Kevin Faulk for this week. Who do you recommend picking up and would you start them? - Devin

A: Devin, Bill Belichick trusts Kevin Faulk a great deal. After the Laurence Maroney fumble on Sunday night cost the Patriots the game, Maroney is going to be logging some serious doghouse time. Sammy Morris is just about ready to come back so this is terrible timing for Maroney owners. Faulk got 79 yards rushing against the Colts as it was, so this week against the Jets I would think no matter what he will get plenty of touches. Sammy Morris has the potential to take Maroney's touches, but Faulk is going to be on the field a lot for the stretch run. My gut tells me that Faulk inherits a heavier load this week against the Jets so my advice would be to add him and start him. If you still have room on your bench, Morris is a nice thought.

Faulk regulary sees a lot of time on the field as he is in on passing downs. That doesn't automatically equate to him running the ball more.

Prior to this week, Maroney had over 500 touches and only 1 fumble. While I agree that the coaching staff is not in love with him fumbling against the Colts, I don't think that that on it's own will cause Maroney to hardly see the ball. If he suddenly develops a fubmling problem that's different.

Morris coming back only muddies the waters to where we were earlier in the year. If Morris is healthy, he's probably the best bet to get the greatest fantasy production. We'll have to see who gets the ball at the goal line heading forward, as that's the guy worth playing. Everyone else may get a few yards or receptions here and there, but the GL back is the one to own in NE.
