There are no chik-fil-as in my area because our mayor basically told them to get ####ed and not build any within the city because they are a company run by bigots.

I don't normally mix my fried chicken with politics, but I was ok with that decision. We have popeye's and they make good chicken AND are ok with gays.

I remember the gloriously ridiculous double breast sandwich, and I know those terrible little Snackers, but it's a bad spot to be in for a place that only sells chicken to not have a chicken sandwich people come for.

A sandwich is just something people will buy far more regularly than fried chicken.

I love me some Bojangles, but I get a sandwich there about 8 times as often as I get fried chicken.

So they realized being very publicly bigoted was not a good PR move and quickly "reversed" their position. I guess that makes it all good then.

Whatever though. The reason I've never eaten there is mainly a product of there not being one within 100 miles of me.
