KFC needs to accept Jesus Christ as their Lord & Savior (1 Viewer)

I don't get the love for CFA food. I mean they are OK but they aren't all that. And they are kind of pricey. I do like their policy of being closed on Sundays.

Of the rare times I'll visit any fast food place, they are my first choice by far. Great chicken biscuits, sandwiches and salads. It's about the best quality of food you could expect from a fast food place IMO.

Yeah I know people love them. The drive through lines are always long.

My obligatory link for every Chick Fil-A thread: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ku4Y-3qPlZE

BTW, Chick Fil A checks in as the 6th autofill option for "white people love...." on You Tube.

It's shocking how crowded the drive thru is around lunch time. There could be 6 other joints on the same street with empty lines but these people will get in a 20 minute line for CFA. Could be something in the chicken...

you get an overpriced piece of chicken on a buttered down bun with a pickle. I once asked could I get one with lettuce and tomato along with the pickle. She told me this ain't Burger King. But I did get the sandwich without butter on the bun, so that was good. And the waffle fries extra crispy. They have good iced tea too.

There are no chik-fil-as in my area because our mayor basically told them to get ####ed and not build any within the city because they are a company run by bigots.

I don't normally mix my fried chicken with politics, but I was ok with that decision. We have popeye's and they make good chicken AND are ok with gays.
:lmao: Even if the chicken wasn't awesome, #### like this makes me so happy to give my money to Chick.

Whoa...who the hell orders it without butter on the bun?

And I'm fairly certain they have a CFA sandwich with lettuce and tomato.

I think with lettuce and tomato is a more expensive version of the sandwich.

I do. I don't like the greasy buttered bun. I think they have a grilled sandwich with L&T.

yeah, I think the L&T version takes it from 7:99 to around 12 bucks or something.

Ah yes, the Deluxe model. http://www.chick-fil-a.com/Food/Menu-Detail/ChickfilA-Spicy-Chicken-Sandwich-Deluxe

They definitely have a regular chicken sandwich available with lettuce and tomato.

I just recently added pepper jack to my original, throw on some Polynesian sauce....fast food dominance right there.

Man, 20 minutes is nothing. I'll never forget one Saturday I sat in the drive-thru for over an hour. People were honking their horns, and a few people out front held signs proclaiming their support for traditional family values. When I finally got up to the window, the guy thanked me for my support. I was like whatever, I just want my sandwich.

It's like waiting in line at Disney World. I read they were working on a system to allow qualifying Christian patrons the ability to pre-purchase CFA Fast Pass. It's a plastic card in the shape of a Jesus fish that enables its holder to drive around thru a separate climate controlled lane for faster service.

That's pretty amazing for only having half the locations and being closed on Sunday.

It seems like KFC's problem is that they just don't have a go-to chicken sandwich. I remember the gloriously ridiculous double breast sandwich, and I know those terrible little Snackers, but it's a bad spot to be in for a place that only sells chicken to not have a chicken sandwich people come for.

A sandwich is just something people will buy far more regularly than fried chicken.

I love me some Bojangles, but I get a sandwich there about 8 times as often as I get fried chicken.
Are you including the biscuits as a "sandwich"? I don't think I've ever had one of their sandwiches :oldunsure:

You do realize they have backed off giving to the anti-gay groups and the founder will not be making any more anti-gay speeches right? Someone got the message.
This is the FFA. We don't bother with the details :D It gets in the way of our faux outrage.

They backed off as a PR move. Nothing more.

Also, choosing not to eat at a certain place in not equivalent to outrage. I don't even eat fast food fried chicken often anyway.

Not really. I hate to say it, but I'm not generally a biscuit person. Or FF breakfast in general. If I'm on a long drive or something and know a FF meal will happen at some point, I always wait until after 10:30 or 11:00.

I like Boj sammies. They aren't quite as good as CFA, but I like the Boj fries a little better and the lines are never long like CFA. Or sometimes I'm in the mood for some dirty rice or cajun pintos.

I don't think that's based of a love of biscuits. It sounds like prayer and breakfast. Two completely different things.

The christian conservatives are acting like CFA is on par with Ruth's Chris Steakhouse.
I honestly don't know what this means.
He's suggesting that christian conservatives in this thread are giving a superfluous amount of love for Chik Fil A, not necessarily because of the quality of their food as they would have you believe, but as a passive aggressive way to show that they support the company's views on homosexuality.

Oh. That makes sense. Although I think I've only seen two people say anything to that effect.

I'll tell you what though, if there was a religion that worshipped biscuits, I would at least hear them out.

They could have a guy standing there to take your order, but he flips through this big book (Lamb's BOL) to see if your name is there before you can order.

The cashier at Chick-fil-A told you "This ain't Burger King" when you asked for lettuce and tomato?I'm not a CFA zealot, but I find this very hard to believe.

I go to CFA for the quality, service, and cleanliness.

I go to Popeyes for the Spicy Strips, and especially the Red Beans & Rice!

I go to KFC to get sick.

Good food, but more expensive than 5 guys. Also, their meal with original sandwich and fries (which is what I'll get) doesn't fill me up.

Their service and Oreo milkshakes are second to none.

Has anyone else noticed that at KFC, at least for me, they never seem to have the chicken ready. Well over half the time I go and order, I get the old "it's going to be about 10 minutes on the chicken". It's become a running joke with my wife and I. Suprised em again by ordering the chicken! And no its not a special order, just original chicken.

They do this to the bad tippers.

Well, she did have a smile on her face, so I can't say she wasn't polite.

Yes!!!

We joke about this all of the time too. NOTHING is ever ready. It's like they hope you leave and not bother them.

"Could I get two pieces of white meat?"

"Ummm.... We don't have that ready. If you want us to make that, it'll be about 15 minutes."

If I want you to make it? I never understood why these places have a drive-thru.

I've had that happen to me a lot at KFC too. Since I find myself waiting at KFC more often than not anyway, I usually go to the hole-in-the-wall soul food place by me for carryout, where I know I'll have to wait, but it's better than KFC.

Chick-fil-A <> Popeys >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>KFC
Zaxby's beats the #### out of CFA
Agreed...their chicken is far better.

But....the downside:

-their kid's meals suck. Barely enough chicken, only fries as an option (and I will get to that)

-only fries as an option for any combo

-their fries freaking suck

Upside:

-better chicken as mentioned

-their salads are far better than CFA

-at least here, the heave the better ice pebbles

-open on Sundays.

For CFA...their breakfast puts all others to shame.

But they already have about fifteen different prayer breakfasts, and one expressly limited to a certain type of pancakes. This is more using God as an excuse to have a group about biscuits.

I'm not kidding:

http://churchofthehighlands.com/groups/search?pub_keyword=breakfast&day_of_week=&timeofday=&leaders=&section_name=Men&address=&group_city_name=&group_city=&group_campus_name=&group_zip=&age_range=&lat=&lng=

They don't even include the biscuit or pancake sessions in breakfast.
