Kiffin - now just a matter of time (1 Viewer)

After today's meltdown vs. Buffalo, which was total overall debacle and defensive cluster fudge at the of the game, it's just a matter of hours/days until Kiffin gets whacked.

Funny thing is old man Davis probably thinks Kiffin will be devastated when I suspect he has the champagne chilling...

I am assuming that since you have been a member since 2003, you know how to search the forums. And you were just being lazy not to do so.

I found three threads within the past week that discusses Kiffin.

Here you go:

http://forums.footballguys.com/forum/index...9&hl=kiffin

This place has really gone down hill lately.
Because of toolishness like this.

Ah, yes. By no means should someone point out the fact that there are 3 other posts within the week on the same topic. :football: Keep on pissing!

I think Kiffen should be signed to an extension for getting the team to play as hard as they did on the road with the circus that is the Raiders.

Member since 03'? :bowtie: Search feature? :pickle: Lazy?

The point of my post was to bring the topic up to date and discuss how today's game probably seals the deal...even though the blame could rest as much or more on the head on Ryan, Davis's personal pet.

beavers, as you are so well versed with the environment here, please take a note from Joe and "be excellent to each other". I don't see you posting what you did contributing anything positive here...

Why not bump the previous posts about Kiffin? It makes no sense to start a new topic on this. It's frustrating when you keep seeing the same topics posted over and over again when there's a slight change in the situation when in fact, the post would fit nicely to what's already being discussed. Oh well.

Everyone turn it way down. Yes, the search function police are annoying. But so are multiple threads on the front page. Everyone just try to be a lot more cool. TIA.J

if you think this, then you aren't following the story you are "updating". You really think Davis thinks this?

Lots of times a new thread makes sense. When there isn't another thread on the front page, or you have another or different thought on the subject.I'm much more concerned with posters being toolish / condescending / snide to each other than I am about multiple threads on a topic. That kind of behavior does not much more than discourage posting.

In a sane world, Kiffin would get credit for having his team ready to play for a tough road game. In Al Davis land, he's a goner.

I have a hard time envisioning what Davis will see that will fire Kiffin now. If he hasn't done it by now, what's going to cause him to do it later? The team is playing hard. If he was goign to do it, I think he'd have done it by now.

Of course, that's making the dangerous assumption that Davis is rational.

This makes no sense and there is no consistency among the moderators in either the FFA or SP on this. For example, Person A opened up a thread about Randy Moss today. There was another thread that was already existing about Randy Moss but a moderator merged the thread since there was one started already. How is that different than the Kiffin situation? Randy Moss is still without his QB and Kiffin is still on the hot seat. Did Kiffin eat sushi for lunch and that's why this deserves a new thread??? As a paying subscriber, it's frustrating to visit the Pool when stuff like this happens. Sure, the forums are free but IMO the quality of content has been lacking as of late.

ETA: I'm done hijacking this.... Carry on with the 4th Kiffin thread in one week.

Nothing Davis does would surprise me, he sent a pre-written resignation letter to the head coach of his team team in the month of September! Dude is crazy.

Yes, VT.At some point, I really do wonder if Goodell doesn't eventually have to step in for something.J

Joe,I hear what you are saying, but that could be a whole other thread...I stand by my belief that Kiffin is done.

Kiffin is sealing his own fate. Please tell me why he would not call a time out with the Bills well within FG range with less than a minute to play and 2 time outs left? As a Bills fan, I am glad he did not, but that was down right awful decision-making IMHO...

PS. I have been a member for 5-6 yrs and rarely use the search function. Ussally check page one and that it. Be excellent to each other...smart-asses suck.

Not to mention, the team has talent, and I was pretty impressed with their play today. If McFadden was healthy they probably would have won this game. They will be a near .500 team, IMO.

That's kind of a "Damned if you do. Damned if you don't." thing in my mind. Do you call the time out, and tell your D you've given up on them, or hope they hold for a longer FG? By the time the Bills were in "chip shot" range there was very little time left. Maybe 30 seconds, right?

But what do you think Davis will see that makes him make a change that he hasn't already seen? J
