Can this guy be a med to high scorer in IDP leagues, or will he be used more as a cover guy? It looks like he should be the starting FS for the Bills, but obviously not all defenses treat the FS the same. He did not have a terrible statline as a rookie:

51solo/26as/77total /1sack/2picks/1ff/4pd

Not bad for a rookie and I don't think he started all the games, but I think he started most.

Thoughts and Opinions welcome.

Troy Vincent was injured in the first game of the year and Simpson started every game afterwards. His statlines suggest a learning curve over the first four games before a pretty consistent run. The Bills Tampa-2 scheme won't provide Simpson with a lot of tackle opportunity, but he could get a small bump from the loss of London Fletcher and another off-season in the playbook. I don't see him challenging the 70 solo tackle mark it would take to make him an every week consideration in standard leagues, though.

I'd agree with all of this. He's still a pretty young/inexperienced player so I think he still has room to improve, but I don't see him racking up tons of tackles with Whitner in place. They do have somewhat similar skillsets though so the Bills could potentially use them interchangeably at times if they wanted to. Simpson is a solid tackler with good cover range and instincts, but I think his best hope for becoming a top-20 fantasy DB is if he can continue to develop hinto a bigtime playmaker and put up 4+ INTs each year.

Here is what I am looking at for next season, please keep in mind I can start :

1 CB

1 S

and then 1 or 2 more of either depending on what type of line-up I use. I won it all in this league this past season without a starting RB, due to having such a dominant Defense.

Asomugha, Nnamdi OAK CB

Foxworth, Domonique DEN CB

Griffin, Cedric MIN CB

Bell, Yeremiah MIA S

Bethea, Antoine IND S

Blue, Greg MIN S

Landry, Dawan BAL S

Simpson, Ko BUF S

More than likely 1CB and 1S will be cut before next season starts.

Scoring is pretty standard although we do get 1.5 points per tackle.

My LB's and DE's are pretty beastly so I may end going with a 4/4/3 this year.

Here is what I consider beastly:

(I have to start a DT and then can start 3 DE's if I want)

Anderson, Mark CHI DE

Johnson, Jarret BAL DE (May be updated to LB)

Peek, Antwan CLE DE

Roth, Matt MIA DE

Suggs, Terrell BAL DE

Taylor, Jason MIA DE

Brooks, Ahmad CIN LB (This is why I posted about him)

Bulluck, Keith TEN LB

Dansby, Karlos ARI LB (And him)

Ellison, Keith BUF LB

Fujita, Scott NOS LB

Jeanty, Rashad CIN LB

Scott, Bart BAL LB

Thomas, Adalius NEP LB

Well, now my entire defense is up here, feel free to comment on where I may need help or whatever.
