This is pretty incredible. Japanese steel manufacturer Kobe Steel has confessed to faking data on steel that failed quality control tests and selling it anyway for 10 years. This steel was sold to 500 manufacturers, including; Boeing, Toyota, Honda, train manufacturers, a rocket manufacturer, etc.

This comes on the heels of Japanese airbag manufacturer Takata knowingly selling malfunctioning airbags.

This report is discouraging as the Japanese seemed to have their #### together from a manufacturing perspective.
