I would ballpark it over 10, depending whether you count some of the spin-offs like Kong v Mothra.DallasDMac said:So this is what, King Kong the 4th? 5th? Kind of losing track.
Anyone remember the turtle that turned into a space ship or something?I would ballpark it over 10, depending whether you count some of the spin-offs like Kong v Mothra.
Had to make him bigger for the sequel vs. Godzilla.Kong seems bigger than normal, no?
The guys at MST3K also loved Gamera.Anyone remember the turtle that turned into a space ship or something?
Gamera. Gamera totally ruled.
I'm actually going into this with low expectations... Like Jurassic World, Suicide Squad level expectations and hoping to be surprised. Just looking forward to seeing Kong fck sht up.I really really really want this to be good.
OMG. Legend of Tarzan was AWFUL. Now I have to discount any review you give Kong. That makes me sad. :(Todem said:Have tickets for Friday night. Wife and kid going as well. We love Kong.
This will be a rip roaring good time. As long as SLJ does not become the focal point of the movie like he did in The Legend Of Tarzan (which was a really cool movie and not really talked about) we should be good.
He sure isKong seems bigger than normal, no?

Good to hear.Crazy very fun action packed movie with tons of Easter eggs. Sam Jackson was actually really good. Really good in IMAX 3D.![]()

I actually loved the Godzilla movieGood to hear.
I'm trying not to read or hear too much before seeing it, but please tell me King Kong had much more screen time than Godzilla did in that recent movie.
I might be crushed if he only shows up for less than 10 minutes of the movie.
I did too even though they got lazy and took the monsters from Cloverfield as his nemesis. Godzilla should have killed those things in no time. Now big Kong--that's a worthy opponent.I actually loved the Godzilla movie
And they are supposedly making a movie before Godzilla vs Kong where Godzilla fights Mothra, Rodan AND King GhidoraI did too even though they got lazy and took the monsters from Cloverfield as his nemesis. Can't wait to see this movie.
Supposed to start filming in 2019And they are supposedly making a movie before Godzilla vs Kong where Godzilla fights Mothra, Rodan AND King Ghidora
I liked it too, but Kong requires more screen time IMO. At least he does if he still has some personality to convey, which I guess is another thing I wonder about this movie, but will wait to see it to find out.I actually loved the Godzilla movie

Stay until after the credits for a bonus scene.![]()
I can't even tell you how much I loved Ghidorah, the Three-Headed Monster and Destroy All Monsters when I was little.
This was a concern of mine as well, but I think he nails his part in Kong. If you liked his other movies, you'll get a kick out of a lot of his scenes/line in this movie.Todem said:Have tickets for Friday night. Wife and kid going as well. We love Kong.

Okay, you can't just say that without an explanation. You know better than that.Went with my grand daughter tonight it was very good.Samuel L.Jackson was starting to piss me off.
Don't think it was any worse than Jurassic World. I don't know if I would take a child younger than 10 but it wasn't extremely gory or anything. Is it very violent? My son has seen jurassic world and fine with that type of violence
LOL I always pull for Kong.I got mad at the bi-planes the first time I saw King Kong.Okay, you can't just say that without an explanation. You know better than that.
As the antagonist his job in this movie is to "Piss you off" and in that regards he nails it.Okay, you can't just say that without an explanation. You know better than that.Went with my grand daughter tonight it was very good.Samuel L.Jackson was starting to piss me off.
Very similar violence but worse language. Is it very violent? My son has seen jurassic world and fine with that type of violence
Agreed.rustycolts said:Don't think it was any worse than Jurassic World. I don't know if I would take a child younger than 10 but it wasn't extremely gory or anything.
